I have been so busy with my DK, I have all but forgottten my mage, the first character I made. I grew to love the DKs survivablity, but seeing a guild mages 4.1k dps in Naxx mademe nostalgic. What would be a good spec at 71 for lvling? And if you know, where to put the other 8 points you accumulate for 72-9. it would be a big help, thanks.

Well what spec is your mage now? There's no one set spec for leveling with a mage, it depends entirely upon your play style preference. Personally I really like frost for the survivability, with an evocation glyph. I keep my elemental out at almost all times and if I run into trouble I can do icy veins and evocate. I evocate more for HP recovery than MP recovery lol. I have a tendency to forget to use Cold Snap for some reason, not sure why... My build is a pretty good leveling frost build, other than the one point I blew in the stun talent at the end. I just haven't bothered to reset for that one talent point, but if you're going to respec I'd avoid that talent unless you PvP.
