For all you tanking experts out there. I need some advice.

Last week when my guild was in 25 man Naxx I was asked to OT four of the adds on the Grand Widow while the the two regular OT's took one each and everyone else burned the boss down. Anyway I go to grab them and come to realize they are all casters and I can't group them up. So I spend the fight running around trying to keep aggro on the four. We downed the boss so maybe I did ok, but I want to know is there a better way to do this?

It also reminds me that one time I tried to tank H VH and we got the mage boss. I'm suppose to kite him around but everytime I would back off to start him moving he wouldn't. What do I do in the case of tanking either multiple casters, or one caster I have to kite? Thanks for any suggestions/help.

Try and group 2 of them. Feral Charge one and return to the other 2. Might work as it locks casting for a bit. FFF does wonders to hold off healer aggro as well. Bash can be used to hold one in place temporarily also, might buy some time to drag one back. Lacerate is a helper as well as the ticks will help keep them on you and not a healer.

Otherwise run around like a mad man and tag mobs with whatever ability your faceroll macro is on.

Also learn the range of Swipe. It is more than Mangle. Swipe is swipetastic at holding far away mobs when no one is attacking them.

Just keep moving, if your aggro holds he will follow. He does spell caster stuff sometimes. Just FFF him and move back slower until he runs at ya.

Also I usually kite up top on the big loop. People complain sometimes but they usually suck anyway as every healer worth their spells loves me when I do it.

Drives my mage friend nuts, his tears give me amusement.

We always make a point of getting the add tank to run in first and have the other tanks grab their targets of him. That way you have initial agro on all 4 and it isn't that hard to keep it after that - especially as all the mobs tend up moving towards you after a few casts anyway. If someone else pulls, then it is really hards as all the mobs end up all over the place.

Well we ran it again last night and this time I only had to tank one of the mobs. Either I so bad last time they didn't trust me to do it or they decided it was the better way to go. It also may have be due to us trying for the acheivement Aracnaphobia. Which we got. I'll have to sse what happens next week.

After our run through Naxx I attempted to tank H AN. We had to call it because we where having huge lag issues on the first boss. I swear my repair bill was bigger for that run then I paid for one quarter of 25 man Naxx and the last two bosses.

As far as 25 man Naxx, we normally just have the MT tank her where she stands, with an OT on either side snagging the adds. We AoE the whole cluster-feck down, which puts damage on her during this too. After the adds are down, we nuke her to hell. Pretty simple :P

With caster adds, few ways to deal with them. Feral Charge locks them out, so you can do that, then run to the other. Line of Sight were possible obviously. Have a class that can, lock them out. (Shammy, Mage, Rogue, Warrior, etc.). Or just tank one while chain casting taunt on the other whenever it's up.

Does resilience transfer to PvE anymore? If so, is it really useful for Bears? (I really have to find time to do some hardcore research, I'm way too far behind on my druid!)

I think resilience still works for PvE but there is no need for a bear to have any.

Totally wasted stat in PvE content for a bear.

Resil does absolutely nothing for bears in PvE. We are uncrittable from talents.

We don't need Defense either, but it would be preferable to resil due to the small amount of dodge and chance to miss that it gives.

Technically resil would still reduce damage from dots regardless of uncritability, but it's still a waste in PvE content.
