Heroism/BloodlustFollow

Hello there...

This may seem like a stupid question but i really dont have a clue when it comes to shamans. Are heroism and Bloodlust the same thing, 'cept squids get heroism and horde get bloodlust?

I ask this because i used to watch my friend play is draenei shaman all the time... and his raid would always ask him to throw down heroism. But ive never seen a horde shaman do this.
