Dampen/Amplify magic? Follow

Why are these spell still around? I always hear people complain how very rearly these spell can be used. I do under they have some rear use like dampen if soloing against all enemy casters or amplify other for heals when mob don't cast spells. But these conditions don't happen enough to make this spells useful. Can someone give some example where these spells come in besides ones I have given?

Well, Dampen is useful in my opinion:

Dampen:
Helps against any spell damage received.
Perfect for a non-healing arena group.
I use dampen in every BG, as I receive more spell damage, than healing.

Key for PvP.


Raids, not so much... Either of them.
