Hi could some full time tanks please have a look at my gear, as i am getting fed up with being invited to groups for dungeons/heroics to be told once we wipe that my gear is no way good enough, i think its not too bad for not doing many dungeons most has been purchased, so advice on gear/gems and any other aspects of my character would be greatly appreciated, im a small dwarf i can take the critisism thanks in advance for all helpful or not advice

Your gear is not crap, there is room for improvement, but definitely not bad.
I always, always have had problems with PUGs on my server, are you doing strictly guild runs?
It depends on how your playing, but you've the effective health and the avoidance to handle raids, maybe not heroic raids yet, but definitely heroic 5mans.
You can get an addon that checks your incoming heals, like recount or recap or damage meters. Then you can check combat logs and find out what went wrong when you died, and the group wiped. Check to see if DPS is standing behind mobs, monitor incoming heals.
I'm suprised to see that you don't have armsman or expertise enchant on your gloves. And you don't have 24 stamina on your other ring... That's all the nit picking about gear I will do.
I don't see anything terrible at all about your spec either. Just that you don't have last stand. I really like last stand, it is very useful for my playstyle.

Are you demo shouting, tclaping and using shield wall and shield block? Are you using frenzied regeneration,

Thanks for the prompt reply i have put armsman on gloves and the stam on other ring so hopefully that will help. My rotation on single targets i charge/devastate/devastate/thunderclap/shield slam/revenge then repeat.
on multiple i have a macro that switches through them i try to get devestate up on them all then use thunderclap/shockwave then the rest, this is prob not the best so advice once again is appreciated for both situations once again thank

Shield Slam. Always use Shield slam whenever it's up.

Opening with Shield Slam is the way to go for sure, when facing multiple mobs TC and Shockwave right away then start playing around with devastates. Consider the Devastate glyph its really nice if you use it a lot. Your gear is certainly good enough for 5 man heroics, and with a few more choice pieces you'll be ready for raids in no time.
Start saving your emblems for the Chained Military Gorget, and maybe the T7 pieces. Get your butt in AN for the belt, and UP for the Red Sword of Courage, those can last until 25 man content.

You are very descent for Nexus , COT ,VH ,UK if you know the instances well, and you pay attenton to DPS performance as well...mind that you are heavily depended on how fast a mob dies. In no way you can boost other guildies (undergeared)of yours with this set. You can badge-farm those win epic , win badges and move forward
