Stupid player is stupidFollow

Word to all those new rogue players, like me.

Traditionally level 20 is a big level. You get shiny new abilities, a good talent (hopefully) and the big thing... poisons! For years and years rogues at level 20 would embark on an epic quest to storm a defias tower in SE Westfall (after doing another quest in Redridge to pick lockboxes), and through the stealthy skills of Stealth (redundant much?), pickpocket, Ambush, lock picking and Sap, manage to find a diary of a madman, get poisoned for 7 days, run around SW to get the poison removed, and then use their new poison abilities.

Yeah. I missed the memo that says you can just buy poisons from a vendor at 20. The quest is no longer a pre-req. Unless you're a lore buff, skip this annoying chain and get with the leveling :-P I wasted about an hour and a half to do all of this, and while I enjoyed the questline, simply buying my poisons would have allowed me to hit 22 and be on my way to 23 instead of being level 21 (and half of that level was from other quests).

It's still one of my more favorite quests in the game, beaten only by the quest in Storm Peaks where you get 5 pocket shamans to do your bidding.

Quest is annoying. Requires you to travel to all ends of the earth without a mount.


I'd rather level another 1-2 levels while all the other suckers go do this.

I didn't even try just buying the poisons >< I leveled to 23 to complete the quests, wondered why I had no poison skill and thought I had screwed up somewhere. When I looked it up and saw I could have just bought them I was pissed! Haha... good times good times
