The 2 piece bonus is chock full of awesome.

The 4 piece bear version is rather meh, the SR one is sex.

Other changes they made:

Quote:
Feral

* Faerie Fire (Feral) now deals [15% of AP + 1] damage. (Up from [5% of AP + 1])

Balance

* Celestial Focus now reduces the pushback suffered from damaging attacks while casting Starfire, Hibernate and Hurricane by 23/46/75% and increases your total spell haste by 1/2/3%. (Old - Affected Cyclone instead of Hurricane)

*insert massive balance erection*

Wooooooooooooooooooow that is pro as hell.

Also it's going to make pvp a crazy situation when you see all of these boomkins in t8 25 man and filling the rest of their slots with pvp gear.

Edit: Yup I'm officially building up my crit set and going for pure and total sexy lunar eclipse.

How useful is the extra clear casting chance for bear? I never really find myself needing extra rage anyway. Is there something I'm not seeing?

I look at is as more free Mauls. They don't generate rage and I get rage hungry often enough to get irritated.

Even if another skill gets the free cast that leaves more rage for Maul.

I Maul a lot. It is usually the leading source of damage for me.

MAUL

I'm not liking the resto bonuses to much, they arent bad, but they seem a bit last minute to me.

I have a feeling cat is going to get nerfed. Cat pve dps needs to be buffed from what it's at live, but all this might be a little overdone.

-SR + glyph buff
-Bleeds crit buff
-Shred glyph buff
-Haste rating buff
-Armor Pen buff
-2pc, bleeds proc clear casting (~80% more procs)
-4pc, extended SR

Not only is our top end dps getting insanely buffed, but the complexity of cat dps is also getting reduced (extending the length of rip and SR makes it alot easier to maximise uptime on buffs/bleeds). Even pure classes will have trouble keeping up I think.

Meh, Feral and Resto bonuses don't look good at all compared to Balance ones :(
#11 Mar 12 2009 at 10:10 PM Rating: Good
The 4p resto one is pretty handy since that's a common flaw observed with Rejuv, but seems lackluster for a 4p bonus; then again I don't know how easy it'll be to get tier gear Smiley: drunk

I don't think the feral changes necessarily make you OP, it just makes it a more level playing field while enabling people who seriously micromanage their rotations to stand further ahead of the pack (as they should be).

I love the Cat bonuses. Bear is Meh. Balance looks good.

Resto 2pc is ok, but I REALLY like the 4pc. Rejuvs first healing tick is a full 3 secs after you cast it currently thats a long time for another healer to heal over the top or for the person to take another hit and die. The bouns gives you a 20% increase in total amount healed (basically 6 ticks instead of 5) which is a massive buff for one of our most common spells in both heals/sec and heals/mana.

Hamina hamina hamina....that is amazingly brilliant. And I thought the +5% crit to wrath and starfall was nice.

I'm completely disappointed in the Bear bonuses. When tanking significant bosses, you won't need clearcasting to always stay at 100% Rage. It's a nice little bonus for those situations where you may be rage-starved (casters, etc) but otherwise it pales in usefulness compared to the Cat's counterpart.

8s on SI should not be needed if your healers are any good, cause the duration right now is more than often for them to pick you up and heal you to full. It's kinda nice, but if it was a talent I'd skip it without a second thought. I really would have preferred something useful.

The Cat bonuses are OP, I'll agree on that. I, too, fear that they've gone overboard and increase Cat DPS too much. I think mediocre players will become competitive with other DPS classes, but Druids who actually have a clue will roflmaopwn the charts.

Meh, we'll see how it turns out I guess.

It was about time us boomkins got some lovin'. Instant SF is awesome, and the eclipse bonuses aren't too shabby either.
What does everyone think about the Celestial Focus change? I rather like it. I mean, for questing and PvP, the stun was nice, but for raiding it's useless. In an environment where there's a lot of raid-damage, the pushback reduction is really useful!
And you forgot two very nice changes, at least for Boomkins:

Quote:
* Mark of the Wild and Gift of the Wild can now be cast while in Moonkin form.

and (drumroll)

Quote:
Faerie Fire and Faerie Fire (Feral): Now decreases armor of your target by 5%. Has a 5-minute duration, and a 40-second PvP duration.

The first one is just the removal of a nuisance, but the second one finally lets me take IFF without f*cking up my rotation!

The best part of the imp ff change honestly is my rotations are going to be so much smoother now. Imp ff is pretty much going to be a mandatory talent now.

Absolutely right you are! The only reason I didn't take the talent, is because it really doesn't fit in my rotation. The only way to compensate so far was either the shadow priest that raids with us about 70% of the time, and the extra amount of hit on my gear, which seriously gimps my crit :S

edit: I'm curious to what gear you have Arex, could you post a link to your armory? (I know, completely offtopic)

edit 2: NVM, I didn't notice your sig the first time apparently.
