DPS as a Tank Warr-plz somebody slap me like a b..Follow

I ve practically no expirience as a DPS and last week i was asked on a 25 Naxx lets say '3 guild PUG'

Since I was not raid leading and all that I though 'Oh why not ? Lests rest a bit!!' . Everything was working good , the team was ok , the leader was OK and all that and in general we didnt have problems killing any boss we reached after 1-3 wipes(meaning that most players were expirienced in almost every boss )


The reason of this post is to ask what is supposed, a lazy tank, to do when he s not MT and not OT and not tanking Adds ?

Day 1 Naxx :
I was thinking of : 'Hell lets maximize DPS !! Lets pretend that i m a lazy warrior DPS '
'Cool' , I though to myself, but 'how on earth am I going to maximize my DPS ? Fock , My DPS gear is in the bank'

Day 2 Naxx:
At the bank , 5 minutes pre summoning to Naxx : 'Fock , some block + block rating gear, some DPS chest plate with +crit , a gnomer (+block) trinket and one more trinket(+block) from Kara , an epic bow from Pincale , a fist weapon from COT, A polearm . Lets equip them all ,after all it aint matter!! I ll still be crap .. lol '

Well things didnt go that well ..we were in millitary and every pull was messy with deaths... Re gearing to tank mode...Group got more stability and reached bosses at ease.

Boss : 'Crap now what ? 1 handed weapon ? 2 handed weapon ? my fist weapon and a shield? A polearm?Berzek stance? If 1 tank dies, and I must take the boss on me.. and i got like 22.000 HP I ll be the joke of the day...'

Well I took the risk ... but I was very poor as DPS... I cant revenge , I cant HS after a revenge..practically the only thing that I found my self doing is Devastates till some Shield slam comes for free and if I m quick enough to click the Gnomeregan auto blocker ..bla bla ... Oh will this work? what is my expertise? Droped :( 'Crap this is pathetic!! I feel pathetic!! there must be another way , Thought...yes that must be it!! Zerk stance and ...what next? I dont have anything there? Slam ? I m rage starved plz somebody slap me like a b.. to get rage

Bottom line :
1.What gear am I m looking for when trying not to Tank nor Offtank .. just to DPS ?
1.b In case someone sais +block : How much Block is required minimum to worth putting +block gear??
1.c I run a litte test with all my block gear yesterday on small mob while questing :Only Deavastating and Shield slaming with autoblocker : DPS was 970-1100 .( Shield slam crit 5200 max) Is this good or bad as a consept to try for Naxx day 3?
2. What type of weapons and what stance?
3. What rotation ?

I generally used my threat set (higher crit/hit/sbv/str) switched to zerker stance (so you don't pull early agro in a string of unconscious crits, like you could in defensive stance) and spam devastate with a slower weapon, when SnB procs use it. Use a shield, use shield slam.

Or, dual wield and spam devastate heroic strike whirlwind, with pure dps gear on (crit, hit, Str/ap, etc...)
