It was in H VH.
Had a druid healer.
First off he /w me saying I had a nice collection of gear. I was immediately in a good mood.
The run was like butter. Even had a DK in frost presence the whole time who didn't pull aggro.
Got the Void Guy achievement.
The best part was me and the druid spent the whole run /e back and forth talking about tank gear, gem set ups and other random druids stuff.
Was amazing. Have never actually had a serious intelligent discuss about mechanics in game before. It was pretty sweet.
So next time life gets you down remember not everyone on your server is a moron. Someday you might meet that person.
Then you too can have a nerdgasm.

How teh crap do you get the achievement for the void guy, super fast dps burn? Seems like between the healing debuff and the shadow damage you'd have to be awful quick about it.
Pisses me off that I've fought him like 6 times now and haven't even seen his leather head drop too

I honestly don't know. I've killed him several times now without anybody purposely killing adds, but never got the achievement. I can heal through the damage with my priest without too much trouble as long as dps is high enough (and I guess the Shadow Resist buff helps a lot) but those adds seem either bugged similar to the Loatheb spores or they're taking damage from diseases even while you're phased out and eventually die.
It's a dps race, just make sure you don't aoe and you should be fine. I remember being Resto for the run where he popped and we wanted the achievement, our paladin tank just used cooldowns and Lay on Hands to heal himself while I was dps'ing (gogo 800) and we got the achievement first try.
I only fought that boss once (I don't seem to get him and the water elemental very often) and we managed to get the achievement. It was a guild run but people weren't overly geared as they were mostly playing their alts.
As a Feral tank myself with Maul glyphed, I'd just pull away from the sentries when they'd drop down to make sure we wouldn't damage them. I can't remember the full group setup but I think we had a Hunter using Tranq Shot on the boss to remove his buff that reduces people's healing. I blew Survival Instincts + Frenzied Regen to be safe, but I don't think the healer had too much trouble.

So when I saw him I simply told the group not to kill the voids. The resto said ok. Had 2 DK and and rogue. Was just a pure DPS race.
Both DKs and the rogue died at the end. I blew all of my CDs and popped a pot.

Fling HoTs around like a madman until you can't keep up anymore, then barksin + tranquility and hope the dps finish it in time.

Yep, had a similar experience with a good druid healer. I did not have alot to offer and I have no interest in healing: Too old and uncoordinated.

Anywho....Is it strange when your guild starts full clearing 25 man Naxx that they want their best geared tank to DPS it because he does 4.5k DPS in mostly tank gear with a few random DPS pieces he picked up? :P
I nerdgasm'd when I pulled 4.5k dps (3rd place on the meters) on our last 25 Naxx run. ( I did respec kitty DPS for it though >.< and had to go back to tank for 10 man during the week.)
Clicky armory in the sig. Look at my noob trinkets :P (FYI, I had the Band of Frosted Thorns as my 2nd ring, just picked up the Grob ring last night)
EDIT: for inability to spell-check my own sloppy typing.
EDIT x2: I also had on my Durable Nerubhide Cloak during that run, not the Ice Striker's I picked up last night.
