I'm curious to this talent because it says it only reduces the chance of melee critical strikes by 6%. What about spell criticals?
Will I still need to stack defense rating to stop spell crits? Or will I be forced to never tank a boss that casts spells?

Bosses/mobs do not crit with spells, so being physically uncritible is enough. (That being said there are certain spell effects from some mobs/bosses that DO crit, but that is in the nature of the spell itself and not something to spec/gear for specifically.)
