Interesting forms of LevelingFollow

SO I'm taking on a brand-new warrior, and I've begin to postulate different ways to go about leveling while still having usefulness as a tank. I've thought about just going balls-deep into protection, having mainly +stam gear, and going about multitanking to do quests, but I've also the idea to spec fury and more +str and agility gear, yet use a shield and go defensive for the tanking in groups. I figure until outland I won't have to worry so much about being prot spec. With the Lich King changes, which path would be best for 10-80, mixing questing with instancing?

Go dps spec until 60-70. Always carry at least 2 sets of gear; dps, and tank.

Use the tank gear while in groups and the dps gear while soloing. You won't need the protection tree to tank anything pre-60. By the time you do reach 60 the dual spec option will probably be available. This means you can spec both fury and prot.

Like Mental said, just lvl up as dps and as long as you got a tanking set, you should be able to tank most things up to the mid 60's as dps spec, but only if you know what you are doing as a tank.

On a side note, Mental I love that Avatar.

You won't be able to dual spec till you hit 80 so don't count on this.

I recommend fury, although you will find there are some very weak level periods to push through.

You can get dual spec at 40lvl.

Fury is way to go. Like MentalFrog said, dps untill 60-70 and gather tanking and dps set.
