Having the skinning profession give one a critical strike rating bonus. Does this work for healing spells also?

Yes. Critical Strike rating affects melee hits, abilities and spells. The Skinning bonus is actually a pretty good one for priests, if not the bad one (I'm not sure what other professions have to offer).

I have herbalism as the second one.

This is a great bonus as I can do that emergency self heal during an instance or health restore while leveling. It works even in shadowform.

Ahh, so that's where the flowers come from. I never really knew the Herbalism bonus *Grins*

As a fairly dedicated Shadow Priest, I love the Everbloom from Herbalism. Nothing like topping yourself off, health wise, without wasting a bandaid or dropping Shadowform. As an Herbalist/Alchemist, the double time durations for elixirs (and he's an Elixir master, to boot) is a really nice boost (look at Mixology). Between the chance to get 2-4 extra flasks every time and the extra duration (4 hour flasks, anyone?), it's actually cost effective to use them while farming/soloing. Are they needed? Not really. Do they make it easier? Sure. What else am I gonna do when I get 2 x5 procs (and a x3 and a x4) when making Flasks of the Frost Wyrm? AH them? On second thought ... I better mail those extra stacks of flasks off to the bank alt when I get home this evening. Smiley: lol
