HOLY Bat Guana!Follow

I really appreciate everyones input and advice on my "Damage" post. I acquired recount and really started looking at my numbers. Unfortunately, what I found was not good. Although I was seeing hits of 1k to 4k, I was actually only doing around 800dps in Heroic HoL.Nexx.Ung...etc..etc.

Well, I was fortunate enough to do a run with a fello Lock who turned out 2nd on the damage meter, and as I stated in my Subject box.............Holy Bat Guana. This cat was putting out between 2400/28ooDPS per scrap! So, I asked him for a lil input. First thing I had to do was say good-by to my safety blanket....felguard! He took me to a trainer and helped me respec to a Destro/demo buid...14/56. Then it was off the the AH to replace "ALL" my gems and 3 of my 6 glyphs.......and 400g later, I as pounding the Grandmaster dummy for between 1400/1800 DPS, and thats without the lil green monkey doin his thing. he said "Wait till you get beter gear!..wooot!

My new Hero shared his rotation with me, and logged. So, I was so excited to get out there and kill a few mobs, and I did. In fact, I even took down a few Elites.

Guess what the trade off is..? Repair bills increased by 300%!
and I find my self running for my life if it looks like I've pulled more than 3 mobs.
My solution............I try not to run around alone...lol..:)

Well, congrats on upping your DPS.

And of course you'll probably run away a lot. It's you and an imp. Nothing to hold the mobs where they are, like the felguard did.

Congrats on your upped DPS, but if you are alone, I'd use the big blue punchingbag if I were you. Only use the imp for grouping, be it group quests or instances.

Worts,

How much do ya think my DPS will drop by switching to Blue while solo'n?

ofc your DPS will drop, but while soloing, DPS isn't an issue.
The added survivability is far better than the imps added DPS. Oh, just remember: you'll pull aggro from your blue punchingbag anyways, so you only really benefit when there's two or more enemys so the "spare" mobs hit your voidy while you kill another one.

Could you please link the spec he gave you? Also, what glyphs, how did you change your gems, and what is the spell rotation? Lots of questions, LOL - but just trying to understand how this all works. Thank you
