Help! I want to get Rift Stalker/T5, do I need to raid??Follow

Hey, So I want to get 2 Rift Stalker pieces to be able to realistically solo older-but-hard content.

I've noticed that these drop in Eye and Serpentshrine Cavern....25-man raids

Is there any way to get these tokens/pieces, or even a similar set bonus (pet healing) in post-WotLK? Or do I need to get 24 friends (lol) and go take down Lady Vaj & her friends? :(

Thank you.

The only way to get 2-piece T5 is through T5 content. I would suggest getting a couple friends together (If you really know what you're doing, I'm sure you could 5-10 man some of the easier fights) and going after the easy bosses in SSC and TK.

VR is pretty easy (gives shoulders) and so is Fathom Lord (Legs, I think).

You might be able to find a group running SSC or TK for the achievements, but there's no way to get that gear without entering the raids and downing some bosses.

You should, however, be able to solo or duo a lot of older content without needing 2pc T5. Was there a particular instance you had in mind?

Thanks guys.
Yeah, I'll try to look for peeps running the raids for achievements. Otherwise, I'll just suck it up :P

There wasn't any particular instance I had in mind, but there's a really good solo'ing thread on EJ that lead me to the conclusion that Nyxia & ZG etc... would be infinitely more possible/possible at all with the T5 set bonus : /

Thanks again for the advice, I'll look into LFAcheivers :)

My husband and I duo ZG pretty regularly (tiger and raptor hoping for mounts, panther for the first weapon, and fishie for turtle tome). As an Unholy tank he does pretty well keeping himself healed, which I suppose would be a concern with a pet tank, even as BM. (Maybe I'll try out the tiger on my own later today, Jon had to go to work before we could get much done this morning.)

Anyway, if you have a friend who plays around the same time you do, maybe you can try that instead of soloing? It's still fairly profitable and it's always more fun to have someone to show off to. :)
