So... In all my years on the boards here, I have yet to see a post about this. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Rogues,

When you are grinding mobs, going from one to the other, and you stealth in between to open.

Who here will stealth just at the right time; where the mob will aggro you, and run to you, but you stealth and spam your opener for the first hit?

I have done this since I first started, and have never really thought about how many people do something similar.

So, srs post about issues.

Discuss.

Happens to me all the time. Probably because i have a crap PC. I like it though, just pop stealth but they run to me and boom they are CS'd.

I do it. Way too impatient to safely stealth from a significant distance. Besides, the consequences for mistiming your stealth and thus not getting your opener just aren't that worrisome.

I do this now that I'm mutilate.

I rarely bothered to stealth between pulls as combat.

I never stealth just as I aggro on purpose. I usually stealth near the mob and spam my opener, regardless of what happens. I too am too impatient to stealth at a safe distance though, and more often I stealth too late rather than too early.

Yes, as vcombat/pve spec. It's just much faster. When specced right, I stay in stealth as much as possible, because my paranoia outweighs the time saved.

Same, I'm just way too impatient to stealth all the way up to a target.

As such as I almost always get hit with a melee attack just as I throw my CS out, playing with game latency gets interesting, kinda like throwing out an attack on your main bar instead of your stealth bar cause you tried to hit an opener too soon after vanishing.

For me, it's part situational and part random - if I think the next mob is a fair distance, I might hop on a mount and stealth-dismount but sometimes I'll hit stealth and autorun then take a swig of beer/coke.

For me, grinding is about relaxing so it's pretty much about instinct. I don't want to think about thinking how to get to the next whisky bar (or mob) I just want to drift along.
