ok so i've been gone for about 3 months now due to some work and college restraints. i just started getting back into it and I'm lvl 78. i've missed a bunch of patches and trying to catch back up. I know arcane is the new raid dps but how far behind is fire? i've always loved fire and kinda hesitant to switch over. But if its a major difference, doesnt look like I have a choice. Also, who should i be working with rep on for some nice 80 gear? I know kirin tor has a nice staff i believe. but overall, any general points of interest from the mage gurus?

Kirin Tor = Dagger
Wyrmrest = Boots
Ebonblade = Belt (I believe)

Fire is only a % or two behind (+/- of course, depending on so many factors). Go with whatever you want as long as it isn't the lowly frost.
