I stepped foot for the first time in a raid as an offtank. I'd continue to talk about it, but I really need to go to bed.

Cleared the Arachnid and some-other-wing-Patchwork is in.

It was quite simply the most exhilarating experience I have had in WoW PVE wise.

Construct Quarter ;)

And gratz! Always nice to hear of other Paladins enjoying the tanking aspect of this class!

Congratulations and good for you. I tried tanking, hated it, although I'm going to give it another try when dual spec comes in.

Well done!

My mistake. I was very tired last night. We downed 3 sections.

Arachnid, Construct, and the one with the princess at the end with 4 mobs to kill to stop enrage.( I'll get better with the names, promise!)

Globbulus was a pain. Takes a lot of mobility and one to two DPS would die at the start or halfway through every time so the fight was made longer, with more mistakes, until eventually a wipe. We wiped 5-6 times on him. All other bosses were 1 and 2 shots I think.

Twas' fun. I was happy with my performance, and so were my new guildies. Even had to tank Globbulus for half a fight when our tank died, and tanked patchwork when our warrior's taunt got resisted and I started out with a few crits to put my threat higher.

Now I need to farm. A lot. Seems raiding is expensive when you wipe. :(

LOL Gratz and glad to hear about the fun of Pallydom...our main tank is a Pally and i would not trade him for ANYTHING!!!!

yeah Grob is a pain, when you first get to him.

And welcome to the world of raiding/farming(to get more gold to)/Raid.

That boss is Grand Widow Faerlina, and she's actually second boss of Arachnid Quarter :) But that's ok, you'll get it down soon enough!

About the money thing ... Yea, it can be a bit of a strain as you're newer to content and going through some wipes, but it gets better. Once you're consistently killing bosses without wipes, you'll come out +200g or so for 3 Quarters of raiding. A very nice change from the way raids used to be )which was, even with no wipes, it cost more to raid then you made IN the raid ...).

Well, I was wrong. Very wrong.

We didn't complete even two wings. We cleared the spider wing and kill patch and glob in construct, but never killed the last one yet. We had no hunter tonight, nor anyone good at kiting.(I think this is the fight that requires kiting??)

So we started another wing, got to the threat-swap-between-vehicle-type-mind-controlled-enemies-using-crystals boss. It sucked. We wiped 5 times I think. Twice due to the orbs bugging out(or so it seemed) and not being able to pick our "tanks" back up. Twice our healers weren't healing appropriately and our tanks died(I need a talk with one pally healer. MP5 gems, 14k mana and much PvP gear(even 70 glad gear)). Once because of me. (Seemed buggy. I even fell through the floor once and splatted on the ground of Dragonblight way below.)

Still, we got him down. Very rewarding to see these bosses fall. Can't wait to get better at them.

Yea, the next boss in that Quarter requires kiting of adds (Gluth). We generally have a DK to kite them with a Hunter or Mage helping. There's one more boss after that though, and the first part of that boss is a lot of fun for tanks :)

I had to laugh at you falling through the floor, lol. I remember once going to the original Naxx, when we got to Heigan the Unclean (dance dance boss), he teleported OUT of the instance down to Eastern Plaguelands below and started casting at us! That was the funniest thing. I'm sure the GM had a good laugh when 40 people suddenly swamped them with, "wtf? the boss left Naxx and is still pew pewing us!" hehe
