Amazed by the Paladin classFollow

My first 80 was a Death Knight, and was my first plate wearing class. I have a druid that I leveled feral, so I was used to melee, but I'd never been able to get a warrior or paladin beyond level 10 or so.

A few days ago, I decided to roll a draenei paladin, mainly because the quests on Azuremyst/Bloodmyst are good exp and rewards. Now my Paladin is level 32, and I'm totally amazed. I love the class, I love the ret tree. I've got my eye on tanking eventually, but that can wait. I threw Crusader on my weapon (the two handed mace from the level 20 class quest), and as soon as I get close to 37, I'll be running SM Armory for Ravager, and putting Crusader on that. Coupled with the natural paladin buffs, elixirs, scrolls, and food buffs, as well as a piece of Clefthide Leg Armor, I'm a killing machine!

I can't wait for the plaguelands and Outland, even though I've been there 4 times already. The undead/demon thing is going to rock my world, I know it!

I'm not asking any questions, I just thought I would share my amazement with the rest of the community :). I've been reading posts here, and I've found some very helpful information, so thank you to everyone who has helped put together all the valuable information on the class!

Glad you are enjoying the class! And yes, you can solo Araj the Summoner at about level 54-55 in Plaguelands now (and everything else there pretty much dies automatically as well).

Keep having fun!

I didn't know about this weapon! I haven't run Uldaman since my very first character, but that might have to change soon. Thanks for the tip.

I would like to take the time to agree with crazyrick on this. Also, I would like to apologize to prot paladins everywhere. I started playing WoW about 3 years ago, and of course my first character was a Nelf Hunter. I then switched to horde and other classes, but never really put any time into leveling a paladin.

I always (ignorantly) laughed at prot paladin up until late BC. I had always seen warriors/druids tanking for the most part and never really experienced Tankadins until level 70. I still always (ignorantly) shunned them as tanks.

Recently, myself and two friends decided we wanted to start over again. We all hopped on the RaF bandwagon and decided to re-roll alliance. I'm a huge youtuber. I'm always watching videos on there, and came across "The Hobbs way of pulling" one day. After watching a few of his videos I decided one day I will try a Tankadin.

Well that day came last Friday, and I have to say I love it. I'm leveling a Prot pally and my friends are leveling a Holy Priest, and a Rogue. We were in STV doing the mastery quests and it literally took about 5 minutes, including travel, to complete one of the quests. I would just go grab a big group of them and tank all of them while the rogue would dps them down. My dps is better than the rogue obviously because he has no AOE abilities atm.

I'm only level 42, but I really love playing the class, and can't wait to level him to 60 and beyond.

So, I really just wanted to post a sincere apology to all Prot Paladins that I used to clown on in early BC days. I was ignorant and now I realize that Prot paladins are an awesome class. Although, I will probaly wind up going ret after awhile because I like the looks of it, but I think at level 80 I will try to be a Prot Pally.

Edited for mistakes

Right now I have a 31 ret paladin and an 80 prot warrior. I also love how far paladin has come. I used to play one many moons ago before BC. You'd cast your seal then judgement. Bam seal would be gone. So you'd be forced to recast your seal and before you know it most of your mana was gone. Especially when you got SoC. I was fed up and that for me ruined wanting to level a class with a mana bar. Well now I am playing one again. All I can say is WoW. Most classes I've fought I've pretty much walked through minus a few.

There amazing. If ret is this fun. Can't wait to try Prot.

why does this thread feel like one of those support groups? for weird addictions or whatever.

"Hi, my name is Ruen, and im a Ret-o holic."

the group at once, in a monotone voice: "Hi Ruen."

Today, class, we're going to be discussing the 12 step program. The first step is admitting you have a ret problem.

Hi my name is Arthorius and I have been Ret-aholic since the burning crusade. People hated me for my high aggro generation, poor pocket heals and sub par dps. I used to be in denial about my dps. I would outgear people but still struggle to match their dps. Now I 've been revitalized and everyone wants some of my Retness loving in their group.
