Seeking some gear advice...Follow

Hello Guys,

I have recently obtained some of the cryptstalker gear (Chest and hands). The gloves proved to be a significant upgrade, where as the chest piece did not seem so big (possibly worse?).

The chest piece in question that I had previously, was the Tunic of masked suffering. I gain 2% more crit with the Tunic of Masked suffering, but lose a small (30 something) attack power. Not sure if I should just go with the Tunic or my tier piece? In addition, I have saved up 58 badges for the 7.5 shoulders (60 emblems, which I will get in tomorrows Naxx 25 easily), and was wondering if I should replace my ring and boot slots first, as I just replaced my shoulders today with Pauldrons of the Secret arts! Both my ring slots and boots are weak, so Ive been eyeing the emblem boots and ring for some time now... So I don't know what I should do :/

Zebug's advice is sound. Normally, if you'd want to see if piece A is a direct upgrade over piece B, you ought to use the spreadsheet.

Looking at the Tunic of Masked Suffering as compared to the T7.5 gear, it depends on what you need. The only real advantage that the Tunic has over the T7.5 is crit. In general, it has around 20 less AP and about 20 less haste than the T7.5. The difference in base Agility of the two items can be made up by gemming for Agi in the T7.5. In addition, the T7.5 has a tremendous amount of hit.

I took a look at your armory, and WITH the T7.5 you are still a couple points from the hit cap (In the BC era a few points wouldn't matter, but since hit scales to your pet now only in full percentages, 1 point off will dramatically effect your pet). I would stick with the T7.5.

As for which piece to purchase with emblems, it really depends on your guild. If you are downing T7.5 bosses with ease, I would personally wait for Protector to drop. (Assuming you have the DKP/whatever to win it). As for buying the boots, note that you'd lose some hit rating. (Plus ArP is kinda crappy) Personally, I'd buy a ring, because the badge rings are pretty damned good.
