First off I'll just post my wowheroes and armoury

Anyway, I've got These shoulders from Sarth and was quite happy with them and decided to get the tier 7.5 pants with badges, as at the time I just had some decent blue ones. Anyway, last Naxx 25 run I finally had enough badges to get the tier 7.5 pants, however in the run I ended up winning these awesome pants. (And before anyone says anything about taking loots from a clothie, they all had tier pants and didn't want em.)

Problem being is that the hit on the pants is really good and I'm still not hit capped yet, and if I replaced the shoulders with tier I lose a lot of crit.

I don't know specifically want I'm asking, just wondering if my general assumption is correct that it'd be better to spend the badges on something else until I'm hit-capped ?

You are perhaps at a point where one or two changes in your gear does not equate a direct upgrade. You are best of trying to collect the items/gear that you want to have at some point in the future and save those items untill you have the correct combination. E.g. the 4pcT7 set is pretty good for a moonkin, but I didnt start wearing the hands/pants/chest untill I got all them, the shoulders however were good enough to wear them straight away. As soon as I got my T7.5 hands i switched some gear around to get the 4pc bonus, changed some rings/gems and It was a clearcut upgrade.

I haven't reached this point yet, but when you gain the t7.5 headpiece, i believe there are some l226 pants from Maly25 that are worth dropping your t7.5 pants for.

So, in short. Keep the items you have to reach the best combination of hitcapped, sp, haste and crit, but do not forget that certain combinations (which may require changing out 5+ items) will yield a better overal configuration at some point. Start planning ahead.

I just checked your gear aswell. Seems you have some nice items, but overal i feel your crit is too high compared to your haste. Haste benefits us moonkin alot more then crit, inspite of what you may think. I would suggest a minimum of 16/17% crit in non-moonkin shape and build haste to at least around 400 or even more. By that time you will see upgrades that contain both haste/crit.

Also, take a look at Plush Sash of Guzbah (40 emblem of heroism). And get icewalker enchant to boots for 12 hit/crit rating.

Hit is more important than using your t7. Even if you had 4 piece t7 be it 7.25 or 7.5 you're going to want to be hit capped no matter what. If you are alliance you can get 1% from a draenai, 4% from Balance of Power and 3% from imp ff or misery if you raid with a spriest so it allows you more breathing room.

Yet, usually the best item to be replacing seems to be your t7 pants or shoulders after you've met the hit cap and your 4 set bonus.
