I was in the hallway near violet hold in cat form looking through atlas when all of a sudden I got a loading screen. Once the game came back up, it was as if I just hearthed because I had a 60min cool down, but I was still in cat as soon as the screen loaded... and you can't use hearthstone while in cat.
So what gives? I've never seen this before.

Had 43mins til cd was up as of 4mins ago. I went outside to do some work and came back in and noticed the 43min cd remaining with me still in cat. I alt-tabbed to look at a video for a fight and then tabbed back to wow and the cd was at 57mins with me still sitting there in cat...

Not sure the time on the cd but it was under 45mins. I moved my character back into violet hold (I don't think it's violet hold specifically causing the problem) I was reading trade chat (sort of was just waiting for it to happen again), character was still in cat sitting on his rear with the big AFK by the name. This time, no real loading screen as it was pretty instant with just barely some graphical flare to show that I had been hearthed and now back to 60mins cd on hearth.
Fixing to start up fraps and put in a ticket for this.

After I started fraps I left Dalaran and went to org and the problem seemed to go away. I did note some chat about something on crushridge in northrend crashing earlier. But it's good that the problem stopped because I had my first naxx (10 or 25) run to respec and get ready for. Origin of Nightmares drops on the guild's first go of heroic.
That made up for all the random forced hearths :) Riding around on Raven Lord with it is pretty sexy.
My crafted Lv80 shoulders almost ruin the whole look though :( T5 looks ok.

did you get kicked from the group while in the instance?
If you mean being forced hearth while trying to do naxx, then no, that never happened. No messages about not being in the group's instance and being hearthed in 60secs or what have you either if that was what you meant.
It happened a total of 3 or 4 times, all of which happened before my cool down was even ready and all of which happened while I was in dalaran sitting around in cat. I later learned that they all occurred relatively close behind a northrend crash on the server I play on. That news came to me after I started fraps hoping to catch the issue and record it, if for nothing else, a laugh down the road, because I seriously was sitting in Violet Hold on my cat's rear with the big AFK letters next to my name and hearthed out of nowhere all while maintaining cat and the AFK.
I didn't see anyone else complaining of the same issue even after seeing mention of a northrend crash.

A rogue today was asking in trade if anyone else was having hearthing issues. I sent a tell asking what kind of hearthing issues and found that this guy was having the same problems I was about two weeks ago.
He said he kept hearthing out of nowhere before his cd was even ready.
Submitted a ticket; never did get a reply/response so I assume they just took it for what it said and will look into it /shrug
