http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Blade%27s+Edge&n=Ssezmo (please excuse the fishing pole, I'm at work so can't change it right now since this laptop won't run wow)

How do I raise my hit? Up until a few days ago I was merrily running around with it sitting there at a dire 66. I've looked at enchants but have found very, very few that do anything at all for hit. My gear is something I'm working on as best I can. My guild isn't doing well in the instances and finding a PUG seems pretty much impossible as a warlock. Will the gear upgrades raise my hit all that much though? From what I've seen so far hit isn't a very common stat but I've not checked out the really good gear yet. I will be doing that, I'm not expecting to be given a list of what items I should get, but I would really appreciate any advice. Especially when it comes to enchants that might not be common.

Thanks in advance.

I have this trinket which helps.

The trouble I find is that by the time you're 80 you've quite possibly done the quests and either taken a different reward or vendored one that you later wish you'd kept.

As you level up the stats move from slot to slot and there are several times I've chosen a reward because the alternative would have lost me stat X in slot Y only to find a few quests later a reward that would have balanced that loss and then some. Can't win 'em all I guess.

One item on my shopping list since I have your same considerations of having to solo mostly is Flameheart Spell Scalpel. I just have to do a lot of cooking.

Here on the first page, about 2/4's down:

I don't know why I bothered making the list if noones gonna use it. Even a simple ctrl+f and typing Hit would have found it.

That list is extremely useful - for someone who does instances.

As someone who shares with the OP the total failure to find groups is does me no good at all to know I can get a really great item from Heroic UP or whatever.

The amended list does include the rather wonderful tailored BoE Hat of Wintry Doom which looks great as well as having hit Smiley: smile

In fact having armoried the OP their hit is probably - like mine - adequate for normal encounters outside heroics.

I'm part way through an exercise of gearing up with the best stuff I can find outside dungeons. I know it won't compare to what is on that list but I have to deal with what is available to me. I can grind rep and I can tailor and I can quest. I'll maybe post the results for the other groupless ones Smiley: smile

If you don't group, you don't need hit. The Hit Cap of 446 is for raid bosses only. Rarely if ever while questing or in PvP will you need a lot of hit. So if you can't group, you shouldn't be worried about it. If you are worried about it, that means your looking to raid and if you can't get successful Heroic groups with your guild, your guild stands little chance in a raid.

Thank you Lathais, I missed that when scanning the forum. Laptop I'm using till mine's fixed won't do a ctrl f search, won't do much in fact but it's better than nothing.

The not getting a group isn't down to me not wanting to, it's more that warlocks don't seem very popular in PUGs. It's been a problem for me throughout the game and the lower level warlock in the guild is having the same problem. Getting enough high level guildies online at the same time is proving to be a problem due to peoples jobs and partners. That should become less of a problem as our lower level people level up though.

Your a tailor you have access to being able to craft the Ebonweave set... take some time farm the mats and craft it. It will also do wonders for your spelldamage. I understand that you have a fishing rod equipped but you SP is still very low even with that.

Crafting is good for this, the ebonweave set will get you very far combined with the hat of wintry doom which is also crafted by tailors. If you can get in some Heroics (should be easier to PUG than VOA, OS etc) you can get rep from wearing the Kirin Tor Tabard in Heroics and it doesn't take more than a few runs to get enough rep for the dagger (although I do the cooking quests as well) You can also get a nice trinket with hit on it to go with your dagger from the vendor when you have done enough heroics to get a stack of 25 emblems http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=40698;source=live (sorry I fail at linking things nicely)

If you are really struggling to get groups for anything maybe you need to consider moving guilds if you want to get further? A guild who can't even get groups for even normal instances and struggles to clear them is likely to take a long time to get anywhere. Maybe leave an alt in your current guild to keep in touch and move your main? Just something to think about. Decide what you want from this game and go get it.

surprised no one mentioned the Chilly Slobberknocker(http://www.wowarmory.com/item-info.xml?i=41821) has a nice hit rating bonus.

until you can get something nicer.
