PVP gearFollow

So I started doing witergrasp, and I have to say its more fun that I expected, I don't really do a ton of pvp anymore, and I never did arenas, but I always enjoyed BG's. I started looking at gear and saw that i could get a full pvp gear set with out arena.

I have deadly pants from VOA, and can get hateful set with emblems, also the witergrasp helm/boots/trink and fill the rest with hateful honor gear. But as I started checking shadow panther all of my 25man raid gear is rated higher than this PvP gear, I know resilanse is a bit underpowered but is pvp gear this worthless too me? Sould I just save my marks/emblems and honor till next season?

I may pick up the WG boots so I can put a speed enchant on them either way.
