Begining warrior needing helpFollow

#1 Feb 17 2009 at 7:02 AM Rating: Decent
Hi, im a begining warrior and i was just wandering which way i should go for a few things. First of all i was wandering which profesions i should take because i heard from some people that mining and either blacksmithing or engineering were good and i heard from other people that taking 2 gathering professions would be good because of the money i could make. Second i was wandering which talent or aspect line i should take i was thinking that protection would be BA because i could sit there and take a beating but i was thinking arms would be good because of the titans grip talent so i was confused on which one to choose. Lastly does anyone have any in general tips for a begining orc warrior, thanks everyone that replies to this.

If it's your first toon then always, always, take 2 gathering professions. You'll get more benefit out of the money early on then you ever will crafting anything. Later on if you want other benefits is when you can change professions.

As for talents take dps. This will increase your leveling speed more than just about any defensive talent. You'll still be able to tank just fine until the higher levels. Again later on if you want to change then you can.

For starters go down the fury tree. Read up on different specs for leveling in the stickies or various websites. A decent weapon is usually better than stats on gear, make sure you have a good dps weapon/s.

General Tips:

1. Don't forget to level the secondary professions of first aid and cooking. These will both help you because a warrior can't heal themselves.
2. Kill stuff
3. Don't die
4. Loot everything, vendor the gray quality items and auction off everything else, unless you can use it.
5. Buy bag space a.s.a.p. In the beginning bag space will help you level more than gear. Don't try to get the real expensive large bags. The 10-12 slots are fine at first. Don't worry about the extra banks slots at first, wait until you need the space.
6. Buy gear and weapons off the AH but don't spend too much. Spending an extra 5g-20g for a few extra stats isn't worth it. Go for the better deals of a few less stats or dps for a lot less gold. You're leveling and all your gear will easily be replaced in 2-5 levels on average.
7. When buying gear always check for gear at least 5 levels above and 5 levels below your current level. Sometimes you'll find that a real expensive piece is the same quality or lower than a higher level required piece at a lower price. Wait a few levels and then use the cheaper one.
