Healing at KT and MalygosFollow

I'm very stressed up healing at KT (Sapphiron is fine, I think Resto droods are made to heal that encounter, lol).
Just a fraction of slow reaction and someone dies to iceblocks.

Would like to ask for some advice here. I tried Rejuv+Swiftmend, didn't work too well. I also tried Regrowth, and had more success.

What do you guys use?

Are there any addons that can make healing at KT easier?

During Vortex of Malygos, do u spam Rejuv or Lifebloom? I throw wildgrowth as soon as CD is up.

the way we do it with a druid is regrowth is key first of all, as well as making sure the raid is spread enough that no more than one person gets hit by the freeze. if you can meet the second requirement, all you should need is a regrowth + rejuv and maybe a swiftmend if youre worried about a frostbolt volley. this is 10 man btw.

as for malygos, have yet to do it with a resto druid healer.

Kel: 10 and 25. regrowth or nourish. but regrowth is the better heal for this situation.

Malygos: Is a piece of cake for druid-healers. No one heals as efficient in air as druids.
Rejus or lifeblooms on everyone and a swiftmend on low-hp-mates.
Use wild growth not at beginning or you will overheal with it.
If your mt-healing is no prob, i would also use nature's swiftness for this situation.
I never need it elsewhere :-D

Bolded for emphasis. If you're only having to deal with one ice blocked person at a time, it's not bad. You only need to heal them for just over 4% of their max HP to keep them alive through the ice block (slightly more if they get tagged by a frost bolt while they're frozen). Where things are most prone to go wrong is with the melee groups around Kel'Thuzad. Depending on the composition of your group, it's not unheard of to have more melee than can spread around him without making it so that 2 or more will get frozen if one of them gets targeted for an Ice Block. Those situations can get a little dicey, but as long as your remember that you don't need to heal them for a huge amount to avert the crisis and then top them up after, it's not so bad ;D

I've done 10 man Kel twice now as kitty and we definitely make a point of staying 5 yards apart so only one of us will be iced. We were told in the beginning of the first run if we don't one of us will probably die.

I don't think we've had a double ice block yet. Of course now that I've said that the next time we run it will happen :)

Haven't done Malygos yet. I'm looking forward to it though, I've heard it's a fun fight.

Rejuv won't work due to the fact that, if what I've read and observed is correct, it doesn't tick immediately. In fact, it doesn't tick for three seconds, so unless you hit the person as soon as they're ice blocked, you won't even get a tick of healing off on them.

For Malygos, you can preload Rejuvs on a lot of the raid. Then on landing I hit WildGrowth then renew the rejuv on those who either don't have it or it is about to run out. That worked well for our 10 man downing last week - even when the Pally Healer DC'd for the 1st phase and the shaman and I had to keep the tank up as well - was a bit stressful but we got there.

For 25man KT, more of the raid will be taking iceblocks and melee will be stacked up (we use DK's to the left of the boss, rogues behind & druids/warriors to the right). If they melee from max range, then only on group should get iced - enough that we struggled and usually lost at least one of them each time :( Not really sure what the answer there is. Like so many fights in this game, not melee friendly at all.

I'd be interested to hear any KT25 tips as well.

Thanks everybody. With Rejuv during KT, I was thinking of Rejuv followed by Swiftmend, but it's often too slow (my reaction time I think).

KT25, from the way I see it, the best way to keep melee groups alive if they get chain iced would be to use a resto shammy Chain Heal? :)
Quite unfortunate that our wild growth cant do that job though.

Been discussing this with a fellow guildy and really your best option (unless you have a glyphed HT) is to use Regrowth or Nourish on the chained people. By the time the 2st tick of rejuv goes off you could have RG or Nourished one and be in the process of hitting another person. I've only had a few attempts healing on KT25 so i'll experiment again this week and see how it goes.

For KT (and pretty much only for KT), I would recommend hitting Frost Blasted people with Nourish. If the person is topped off before being Blasted, they only need a tickle of healing to stay up, and Nourish is a half second quicker (same as Regrowth if NG is up, but with Nourish you don't have to worry about it). I implied in there that it's best to keep everyone topped off - Rejuv is the best raid heal for that situation (people too far spread out to make good use of WG). Other than that, you only have to watch raid frames for Frost Blasts and watch your feet for void zones.

For Maly, I precast Rejuvs on as many people as possible and hit WG before the vortex (it comes off CD again before the vortex ends). If you don't have enough spellpower to make this work, precasting Lifeblooms so that they bloom during the vortex is useful.
