So after 3.09 I hear Fire is the better spec now that torment of the weak benefits from tanks slow etc... So i tried it out as 18/53 and it was not bad at all. Do not have numbers but was just wondering if anyone has tried it. According to EJ it beat out Arcane barely. They are just about dead even (fire won by 30dps) My question not only is is it indeed better or at least equal? Also I see people running as FFB(53/18) after 3.09 like manly himself from EJ and our own Poldaran why is that? I thought it was Fire that was better not FFB.

Fire is better than FFB, if you have the mana and the hit gear to do it. remember you will need to be at 14% hit (assuming spriest/boomkin in raid) instead of the 11% as FFB, or even the amazing 8% as Arcane.

The two are effectively dead even (fire and arcane) right now. It really comes down to whichever you like more and what you need it for. If you need really high burst (sarth3d for instance) arcane will be better. But for longer fights where it is slow and steady, they are about even.

So 18/53 fire right? or which spec are you referring too (only other must be 53/18). The hit cap w/ HP would be 368?

18/53/0 comes with 0 hit buffs, so yes, if you are alliance (lucky bastages) you get an additional 1% hit so you will need 13% hit.

13x26.232 = 342 to be hit capped. If you are horde, or somehow don't have a draenei you will need 368 to be hit capped.
