How am I lookin?Follow

Howdy druids, I started my little druid a while ago. I planned on him being my little 29 or 39 pvp twink. However , I fell in love with leveling him, it was so fast and easy. Raided in BC as a tree a little bit. When wrath came out my Hunter and pally where my first priority, now it is his turn.

Guild I am in is pretty much done with Wrath thus far. 25 Naxx is a joke, Maly is down, working on 3 drake Sartharion. My main raid toon is my hunter, back up and 10 man toon is the pally. With leveling this druid though I realize that I enjoy druid tanking far more than pally tanking, so I will most likely be turing the pally into a healer for the guild when needed. With my raid and instance experience I understand druid roles and group dynamics pretty well.

Back to the druid though, about level 77, leveled all the way as feral. I tried Boomkin for about a full level at 75, had a lot of fun but I just enjoy feral. My question is, how am I looking? http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Draka&n=Rinkkel

I have had no problems with threat AFTER reading the faqs here. I had no clue that maul did so much and after changing up my rotations it is amazing how much tps I can generate. No dps my level or near my level can even come close to ripping off me. a tribute to people here and at EJ.

I use glyph of Rake, Maul, Aquatic form, Challenging roar, and thorns.

My normal grind rotation is pull with FF mangle mangle rake, mangle FB. I really dont do the whole sneaky sneaky thing too much. If I get bored I pull 15 things and go bear. When I hit 78 I have the full eviserator set ready, I have the Epic LW shoulders and belt for level 80 set aside as well.

Main question is, I believe I am on the right track, am I mistaken? Is a full evis set worth having mixed in with higher level instance gear? Should I be changing some glyphs? Should I be doing anything different?

As always, I really appreciate any and all help and good advice.

Here is a quick reference gear list which will give you a good start :-

Emmerald's Gear List

Emmerald's Feral Druid Boards is a fantastic source of info as well.

Once you get to level 80 then you really can't go past RAWR which can be downloaded here.

Rake glyph sounds nice but I never had it and I don't recall mobs fleeing in Northrend. The other 2 glyphs I use are Frenzied Regen and the Growl one. I got the Growl one last as it isn't as big of a deal at earlier levels. I have the same minors except the Unburden Rebirth for an extra bag slot instead of Aquatic Form. The other 2 are very handy for tanking the 3rd is more personal choice.

You should Savage Roar at 1 CP. It is a huge boost. I will usually Mangle, SR, Rake, Mangle, Mangle on to next mobs cause that one is dead. SR is a huge DPS boost. Don't be afraid to AoE bear grind, when the mob density supports it of course or if you don't want to pay attention to what you are doing.

Remember cats like Str and bears like Agi but you probably knew that as you been reading stickies and whatnot.

Smart move getting gear before you can use it, helps greatly. I imagine you have guildies who understand threat. You can start championing the level 80 regulars as a tank all ready. Might be a bit rough but should be doable. The eviserator set will last till the pieces get replaced with level 80 gear.

For spec I imagine you are filling out RnT to 4/5 next. Might eventually want the last point there instead of SA as it will be a higher TPS boost. Also you can easily go 2/2 IMotW 3/5 Furor for he boost to your Mark spells. As you can force a rage proc if need. If you always have a druid that has the 2/2 IMotW then it is a moot point unless you want the boost for solo play.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Cats have a swipe now too. I love seeing all those number fly when I use it in AoE situations. I will typically hit Mangle, SR, then start swiping. Of course I have the points in KoJ so I can Tiger Fury for more energy.

ABout the gear.
the pvp set is nice, but id get rid of most pieces soon as possible at 80. They lack gemming, they lack pure agi/stam.. THey are nice starters tho.
What u want to get ASAP is revered with kirin tor, for the legs and weapon, this will make ur life a little easier :P

Except that, get the cloak from LW aswell, nothing beats it imo up to 25 gear
