Sick of waiting to see this thing drop. So far only 2 have dropped running Naxx25, and one was given to a Hunter! Mut Rogues want 2 of them, and as a Combat I need it for my OH, Hunters want it, and with Murder being the only other half decent Combat OH the options are limited.

I have yet to see hailstorm, but with the changes comming Fist/sword is probably out anyways. The one calimity's grasp we've seen went to the Shammy CL, so I'm at least 3rd in line to get that.

Crap swords from Naxx, very few fast daggers, and nothing worthwile from the vendors it seems Blizz forgot about us combat rogues. I guess the fact that LPC only cost me 50 gold is the only good thing.

Anyone else finding webbed death droprate way to low for there guild needs?

Why are your hunters rolling on it when there are a ton of 100 agi staffs waiting to be picked up? Maybe it's just my guild but we don't really bring feral druids to Naxx25 so the hunters are grabbing them up like candy.

What changes are these that you're talking about?

In 3.1 you won't be able to invest points into sword specialization AND CQC since you'll need 3 points for lightning reflexes (which will increase your melee haste by 10% iirc)

At least that's what I'm assuming he means.

I've downed the ***** six times now and I still haven't seen it drop. I got my hands on a Calamity's Grasp last night though, so /sex. Still looking for either WD or Murder since right now I have Omen of Ruin in OH.

Yeah, I've been running it weekly and have only seen one so far, and it was given to a fellow rogue who then quit the game shortly after. >.< Unfortunate for there being two different bosses it could theoretically drop on. Oh well, my day will come.

My main ***** is lack of good fast OH's in genral, as for the people who got it on there first run, grats, and if your rogue CL then you will most likley get the first one, depending how you do loot (we do council).

The problem comes when you have 4 rogues who all want it, and some Mut rogues want two. If it droped every week you would be all set, but it never seems to drop. I know, no sence in letting RNG drive you crazy, but damn blizzard, lets get some better weapon itemization next time.

As far as the fist/sword thing, Jonofthedead was right on. I've seen some EJ posts that argue it can still be done, but we have to wait for 3.1 to know for sure. As of right now, I would be hesitent to drop beserker on Hailstorm.

Dropped for me last night. I pretty much had a nerdgasm and hearthed to put zerker on it.

Second one dropped for me tonight, and with the highest DKP and rouge class leader I won it :)
Now dualling them with mongoose, and trying my hardest to save for the deliciously expensive beserking.

Also got Grim Toll which was a nice replacement from Sphere of Red Dragon's Blood giving me a nice 383 hit-rating now.

Just got it tonight. Gotta get zerking on it but put potency on it mid-raid as it was an instant upgrade. Now if only I can get the MH fist off of KT.

You like gearing for too much hit?

Edit: And Grim Toll is an absolutely terribly Muti trinket, seeing as about 70% of your damage ignores armor.

No, but I didn't have much choice until I get more hit gear, as the previous trinket gave 55 hit rating and without it I would be below the cap.

Its at most a temporary solution until I get New Bracers, Legs and Feet and Fury of the Five Flights.

You can't really gear for too much hit as our white hit cap is always unreachable anyway, and that accumalates for a big chunk of my damage when raiding.

You obviously have no clue about rogue mechanics.

If you have 383 hit rating, you have TOO MUCH.

The only hit caps you should be remotely worried about hitting are the specials cap, which is 8% melee hit (8.2% according to some people) and the spell hit cap (for poisons) which is 17% spell hit.

Now obviously the poison hit cap is the higher one, so that is the one we will focus on.

17% to hit
-5% from Precision (you do have 5/5 Precision for PVE right?)
-1% from Draenei racial
-3% from having either a shadow priest or boomkin in the raid
---
8% spell hit

It takes just under 27 hit rating for 1% spell hit. 27 * 8 is 216. We'll round up to 220 just to be safe.

Therefore it takes no more than 250 hit rating to reach the poison hit cap. This 250 hit rating will also give you an additional 6.71% melee hit rating on top of the 5% from Precision which puts you at 11.71%, over the melee specials hit cap.

Hit rating past the poison hit cap is worth less per point than ANY OTHER DPS STAT except Armor Pen for a Muti build.

Unfortunately for you you only have the 1 agi/hit gem in your gloves, so you can't drop too much hit rating without getting new gear. However when you do get a new piece of gear I would highly recommend comparing it to the piece you have now and not take the hit rating into account.

Also, for god's sake man, get a new helm. It's been shown through testing that a meta slot is somewhere around a 100 DPS increase.

Actually hit rating is still valuable until you get to your white damage cap, its just not as valuable as things like agility. It's not wasted though by any means.

For Mutilate:

Stat EP
Str 1.1
Agi 2.0
Crit 1.6
Exp 2.0
Haste 1.6
ArPen 1.1
MH DPS 4.1
OH DPS 3.1

Hit is worth about 2.9 below the yellow hit cap, 2.2 below the poison hit cap, and 1.4 above both caps.
For weapon speeds, each .1 increase in MH speed is around 35 EP and each .1 increase of OH speed
is around 75 EP.

White is up around 722 hit rating.

So, like I said, not as valuable as stuff like agility, but it's not wasted. Not really a reason to jump down his throat. He's not using slow weapons or something. God what rogue would do THAT.

p.s. Your rogue has no meta gem, why are you getting down on this guy for it???

I now have Fury of the Five Flights, so my hit rating is 271.
Happy now?!

The only reason I took that trinket in the first place was because it was better than my previous one and no body in the raid wanted it.

As for my helm I know I'm slacking but no one seems to want to drop a meta helm.
Done Sapp 3 times on normal and no helm from him, everyone in my raid had higher DKP for t7 and Gothik doesn't want to drop it either.
I was considering the one from occulus as a temporary helm, but no one ever wants to do it.

It wasn't better thann your previous one, though. You didn't need the hit and the proc on Grim Toll is garbage compared to the 640 AP from Sphere.

I said it was worse than any DPS stat other than Armor Pen, not that it was worthless. Your AEP ratings confirm exactly what I said, btw.

In regards to my rogue, did you happen to look at his overall gear level and not just whether he had a meta gem? If you had you might notice my rogue is extremely poorly geared. That tends to happen a lot with alts. I got him to 80 about a week ago and have since been working on my professions on my DK main.

I originally jumped on him because he was bragging about having 2 WD when it was obvious he was just a bad rogue being given good gear by his guild. His comments about Grim Toll kind of proved that.

No actually the spreadsheet showed Grim Toll to give more dps than the Sphere, hence why I took it as a replacement until I got FotFF which I now have.

What using a good build, good rotation, balanced stats and being one of my guilds highest dps makes me a bad rogue?
Oh no wait, looting a replacement trinket and having exceeded the poison cap does.
Sorry I'm an idiot and a disgrace to the rogue community.

I see a lot of Rogues with this thing, but for me it doesn't exist. Refuses to drop in any way, shape, or form. Well my Guild is organizing another Naxx25 this week so hopefully I'll get lucky and have it drop (but then I still need to win the roll...).

I ran naxx25 last night for the first time and Webbed Death was one of the first boss drops. There was another mut rogue there so it was him vs me. I rolled a 39, he rolled a 2. Was pretty thrilled to get this weapon seemed to increase my dps by a noticable amount but I probably just thought so because I was excited about having a new weapon. My girlfriend the warrior ended up getting 4 pieces of armor and the iris quest item for EoE. Hopefully my guild will have a chance to continue running this once a week at least until Ulduar comes out so we can be geared and ready for those fights.
