With Torment of the Banished and Hailstorm, 15/51/5, i'm seeing around 2100dps, 25 man buffed, using all cooldowns and using a 2s/5r rotation.
With Titansteel Shanker and Rolfsen's Ripper, 51/13/7, i'm seeing around 2600 dps with the same buffs.
Does combat suck so much that I lose 500 dps even with WAY better weapons than mutilate?

Have you tried other rotations (like 3s/4r)? Last I saw, there were at least 3 optimal cycles depending on glyphs/gear/etc.
I tried swapping out rupture and blood spatter for imp evis, my dps stayed roughly the same, i tried 5s/5r, 3s/5r, 4s/5r (no energy for 1s without t4 set bonus!) and my dps was between 2000 and 2150. Mut was the same keeping HFB S&D and rupture up and subbing occasional envenoms.
I'm told by our combat rogue that 1s/5r is working best for him. Dunno if that helps since you say you were having energy problems but his weapons are calamity/webbed death and he was keeping up to me and my mediocre weapons.
Perhaps because Webbed Death is .1 faster than Hailstorm... i don't know.
