You can now buy them from the Warlock trainer at level 61 and must also have 150 riding skill (the level 60 mount riding skill) to use it

I earned mine the week before blizz made it available for purchase. It made me mad that they cheapened it. but atleast i know i earned mine.

I wish Blizzard didn't change it. If anything, make the mats for it a little cheaper. Making it trainable, rather than earned, takes the fun away.

I prefer it the way it is now. I "earned" my first - fairly easy to get a group pre-TBC. I "earned" my second, but getting a group together to do the instances was a pita. If anyone says that I didn't "earn" my third because I paid gold instead of questing, they are just plain stupid or MFing elitists!

What does it cost to just buy the skill at the stable near Undercity? I'm revered with U.C. so does that affect the price as well?

Are you so inept that you can't take your toon over there and find out? Damn! the stupid questions are starting again...

Training to learn the mount should cost more than earning it the right way.

Are you such a sad, pathetic little person that insulting people behind the safety of your computer screen makes you feel better about yourself?

Are you such a sad, pathetic little person that you can't do your own basic research? Are you such a sad, pathetic little person that you can't take your scrawny butt over to the stable and find the answer to you extremely basic question? Are you such a sad, pathetic little person that you must post your question so that everyone can point to it as a display of your brilliance?

Well I bought mine at the trainer - at about 66 I think.

Without a guild there is almost zero chance of getting this quest done.

Back in the days before TBC I helped several warlocks get it, tanking or dpsing.

The final fight in DireMaul is great fun.

But I acquired a pet hate of warlocks joining guild and immediately wanting help with their epic mount so I didn't want to be one.

I would have eventually bought an ordinary horse (or whatever) if I hadn't noticed the dreadsteed in the training list one day.

If it is an achievement to have one it is more about being the sort of person who can persuade others to help them than about personal ability.
