Troll Berserking -> markedly useful?Follow

I have been wondering recently if it is worth re-rolling my undead priest as a troll, to take advantage of the berserking (10 second haste) racial.

To be honest I am not sure how much benefit I would get from it though, as quite a few priest spells are instant cast or fairly quick anyway (ie. 1.5 sec flash heal.

The biggest use I can see is perhaps spamming a 2.5 sec greater heal on the tank or trying to cast a few heals on different group members in a 5-man after AoE damage.

Any priests troll or otherwise :) who have an opinion on this?

I wouldn't worry too much about what race you are unless you're going to be in a seriously min-maxing raiding guild. In which case, as Moz points out, you'd probably go BE for PVE anyway. Then you'd have to pout and sigh and sashay around instead of doing really cool stuff, like eating corpses. Is that really what you want?

As Shadow, BEs freaking own.

at lower gear levels, where Replenishment won't be providing you enough mana to go indefinitely, 6% mana every 2 minutes is VERY nice. I still use it every time it's not on CD in a boss fight.

As a BE shadowpriest, I have a very hard time running out of mana. Period.

I pop Torrent at ~90% mana, followed by Shadowfiend at ~60%. Dispersion at ~30% if nothing else is off CD yet. I tend to avoid using this because it decreases dps. (As a side note, Dispersion is quite possibly one of the most useful talents ever. I've used it to survive multiple boss abilities, like running through one of Grobbulus's Poison Clouds and when I mess up on the Heigen dance. It's also great for when Naxx Frogger is being retarded).

And then if I get to ~10% without anything coming off cooldown yet, I'll use Divine Hymn. I've never had to use this for myself on a boss fight before (I have used it to help out some mana users in my party, however).
