I have been noticing that recently on heroic runs, my DPS has been lacking. I was just doing a bit of checking around and my AP seems to be alot lower than what it used to be.
I can remember a few weeks ago hitting SR and being few close if not over 11k AP. Since that time the upgrades that I have picked up have been in accordance with Emmerald's list. Looking today at my AP with SR active and it was about 9.5K.
I have not done a talent change. The gear that I have picked up (without chants) is for the most part equal to or superior to the previous gear option. Is this problem just due to the patch and change made by blizz for the FAP??

You may want to check what gems you put into the new gear. Did you add Agility instead of Strength. I would also check to see if the old gear had strength on it. I've noticed that a lot of the epic leather gear doesn't. I had an issue with upgrading gear and losing hit. Now I stopped worrying about being hit capped and am stacking AP (via Strength) and my DPS has been improving.
Buffs make a massive difference as well. Bok, Horn of winter/Strength of Earth, BoM/Battle Shout are all big buffs for our AP. Maybe your group composition was different?
