For some reason i can get power aura classic to pick up my priest procs and fingers of frost for my mage. But it just doesnt seem to want to learn Brain Freeze. And thats the one i need lol. I never notice it with all my buffs on xperl. Or if there is a better option in xperl that would be nice to.
Could try MSBT or a similar addon that will give an audible noise. It should still work though, haven't had a chance to test that one though.
OOh thanks msbt works really well. Got it to do just what i want and the cooldown option for spells is kind of nice. I just need to figure out how to turn off the mana regen from water elemental. I have turmed off all the pet options and didn't seem to get it.

I cannot find at all the option to change the notification pattern. I have Powa set for the moment to notify me only of Hot Streak, and it has the rune pattern, I want to start configuring it for other buffs also, but I could not find the option to select other 'designs' other than the rune one :((

If you click the Wow textures box, there's a slidey bar underneath those options at the top that will change the pattern displayed. Sorry for the non-technical answer, server's down right now.
For brain freeze in power auras, for some reason it recognizes it as buff called Fireball!
That worked for me for setting brain freeze up in addition to hot streak.
Here is a link to the picture of where to start to add additional abilities. Type /powa to bring this up, select new, and once you have the new box select edit and it will bring up the other screen to set up custimization and ability name.

Which version of Power Auras are you guys running ? I still have not been able to make it notify me of my Hot Streak Procs (even though I configured it the same as in the screenshots you linked) ... I'd really like to get this working !!

Make sure you dont have buff turned off on the main screen(with activate power auras checkbox on top) which is turned off and on by shift-click. Also make sure you dont have it checked to activate on a party member instead of yourself, but if exact to the screenshots you should be fine there.
