can someone help me figure out how to make a macro that will cast TotT on the tank in my group. assuming, in 5 mans at least, the tank is leader for the most part so they can mark. so how would you do that macro?
/cast tricks of the trade
/target party member 1
??? im not sure the exact way to word it. also if there is a post with all macro terminology that someone could link i may be able to figure it out myself.

Or try focus.
Simple version: Click on the tank, type /focus in chat then use a /cast [target=focus] Tricks of the Trade macro whenever you need it during the run.
There are ways to set up mouseover + clearfocus macros, but that's a bit more involved. The above should work great for most instances/raids.

I've found it incredibly useful in all my heroic runs as well as most of my raids. I also have a macro set (basically Eon's macro) up to hit another rogue I always raid with (and had her make one for me.)
Another thing I would suggest though is a small announce in your macro, like "/s Tricks of the Trade on Tank!" or something. Not necessary in the slightest, but it tends to help out others.

Your macro would be
#showtooltip Tricks of the Trade

That last line I'm not too sure about, but test it out.
Also, you can't really macro two abilities that initiate the global cooldown together, Like TotT and ambush.

I think the problem here is that questions with simple, easily accessible answers make Thomas's butt hurt.

Oh like I'm the only one to ever make snide comments. This one just happened to be useful (which is not my usual MO).
