Heya Droods,

This might have been asked numerous times already, but I do not possess the gift of search. (Damn premium accounts)

Yesterday I started grinding my LW'ing skill to craft some of the Eviscerator pieces and some more stuff, and I've taken a look at my stats in Cat form. I didn't note them, but from the top of my head I got around 4200 AP and nearly 37% crit chance, with some 40 Hit Rating from my fugly spear. I still got some more crafted upgrades to do but I need to go grind more leather tonight.

Anyway, to the point. I looked around a few places and I've seen comparisons between stats and whatnot, but I haven't seen any post about stats requirements for Heroics and Raids. I know Druids mostly go Feral for tanking, so Cat stats may not be as well known.

I heard the current end-game content is easy-ish. Any goal I should set for myself or it's barely worth bothering with that?

Edit: Also, I've seen plenty of pre-raid gear lists for Feral tanks, but really none for Feral DPS. Maybe I'm just blind, but I'd appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. Just the name of some boards where there'd be such a thread would be awesome.

I am sure you have checked out EJ forums. While I am boomkin by profession, heres a few links ive found while looking through their site, not sure if it has exactly what you want, but either way they are good to read through.

Feral Questions
Cat Rotation
and finally EJ Druid Forums

Those links should answer most of the questions you have about gear, spec, rotation, etc.

www.emmerald.net/forum/ -- WotLK gear charts are still being processed, but there's good info on the forum.
druid.wikispaces.com/ToskksDPSGearMethod -- Toskk's DPS calculator. Quite solid.

As for numbers, dps doesn't lay out stats like tanks do, because where your damage comes from doesn't really matter (aside from self-improvement), just how big it is. I'd say 1500-2K dps is a comfortable start for raids or heroics, though I see many people going in with less than that (since there are no prereq instances). As a kitty you'll have less dps on trash, which doesn't live long enough to get your bleeds running.

Kitty swipe helps a lot for dps on trash. If there's even just 3 things, it'll hit (not counting possibilities of crits) for 6500ish, with SR up. That does the dps of a having mangle or rake do 4900ish damage, based on respective energy costs. I think I did that math right...

Thanks for the links guys.

Yeah, I did know about EJ, and I looked through their Druid forums. I couldn't really find what I wanted, though. Cat rotation seems simple enough, just kinda hard to execute.

I did Naxx 10 this weekend even though I'm terrifyingly undergeared (the rest of the raid was well-geared so it balanced out). Got a few drops, which is awesome, but I noticed how hard melee DPS can be, especially keeping the Cat DPS rotation going while staying behind the mob. I hate that "bug" (dunno if it's actually a bug) where the mob will walk slowly toward the tank, turn around for a few seconds, and walk back to its initial spot before turning around again. Really F's up your thing.

I got to tank for a few bosses (Horsemen, pre-Thaddius abominations) and I really enjoyed that. But until I can be tank at least 75% of the time, I'll respec to Doomkin to help the raid DPS more than as a Cat. WTB Alliance Moonkin form. Tauren horns are far less cool than the NE's antlets. :(

Anyhow, thanks for help. :)
