Hey everyone. Wanted to know what races you all chose and the reason behind your decision. Me I chose human because I'm alliance by heart. Though a nice tauren Dk would be great. There lean mean...death gripping machines. :D
Blood Elf for the interrupt but it was a close call between that and Orc for the DPS boosts.
This question hasn't mattered for any other class you've asked it on, it certainly won't matter on this one.
I fully understand it may not matter to some and do apolagize if I've offended you. I was just curious as to what races people enjoy to play. Maybe give people a chance to calm down from all the arguments I've read in other posts.
Orc. Best horde PvE DK race, imo.
Choosing your DKs race is really only a concern for serious min/max raiders or arena players. But it is an important consideration for those players.
For casual players it makes no real difference. Play what'cha like.

I chose a pink-haired female gnome in order to **** off the posters who said "anything but gnome!". ***** them.

He wasn't asking which race he should pick, he was asking what race you picked and why (for fun).
I chose Undead because i've always loved the race. Playing FFXI for 5 years being a Human, you get to that point where you wanna try something different but with a little class.
Draenei, for the Heal. Not so much for me, but more to help group members in a real emergency. It buys a bit of time until the cooldown on their healing potion is finished, or until the healer can throw a heal their way.

I always wanted to have a gnome warrior to tank with but never got around to warrior after 70 druid, 70 shaman, 70 hunter, 48 mage, next was going to be a warrior.
Can't beat skipping 55 levels and still getting your gnome up front tearing **** up. My Weapon is 2 feet taller than I am :P

I will admit that gnome dk's are cool to watch in action. lol I run rampts for right now and solo/questing. I get to group with them every once in a while. And yeah you guessed it they all almost have pink hair. Females with pig tails, Males with big curly mustache. Very cool looking. Just hope that the horde don't see them and decide to play kick the can. ><

I figured it out...normal trolls only post about 5 times. This is the most dedicated troll I've ever seen. Almost 100 posts.

To be fair, most intelligent people will tell you that it doesn't really make an appreciable difference which race you pick to be effective at your class, and I picked my DK as Tauren simply based on the larger armor and weapon models I'd end up with as a result >.>
(Ok and the 5% hp)
