First off, I'd like to say I read these boards almost every day but never decided to post and register. I have a 76 resto druid and had a few questions. I looked but didnt find the information I wanted anywhere else.

What should I be focusing on with gems? I currently have around 770 sp and 660 mp/5. I was healing a HoS and HoL group last night with an 80 pally and three 80 mages. HoS went smooth enough but during HoL healing was a bit more difficult. No one died but I found myself going through mana much faster. at 76 my mana pool is around 12k buffed so I think more sp/spirit is the way to go. Any thoughts?

Also, because I've upgraded gear so much I dont have any enchants on my gear. I have been running instances a lot and have a nice set of blues that should get me to 80 with an upgrade here and there. What are the upgrades I should be looking at getting for each slot with what I've said in mind. I dont want the end all be all best enchant because I'll be upgrading when I hit 80 of course. But I'd like to get enchants to help me the rest of the way there.

Thanks in advance,

Spell power seems a bit low, but I'm fuzzy where I was at that level. Mana regen's more than fine. Really though, healing that place at 76 is just kinda tough overall.

Do the Ampitheatre of Anguish for the quest reward. Bit of a knock to the regen but you can afford it until you're getting lvl 80ish 1 handed daggers or maces and offhand.

The trinkets are pretty meh, but not a lot of options at that level. Ring wise, hit HoS and Violet Hold. Get the chest equal to your pants. Honestly most of your stuff is par the course of leveling. Once you hit 78, there's a decent chunk of stuff in Oculus and Culling to shoot for, as well as a couple craftables (the Overcast PVP gear, for example, will likely fill a couple of your slots).

I have to admit, with my t4/badge/t5 resto set from 70, I hadn't really found an upgrade besides a belt ( I think from Nexus) up to 73. I just respec'd back to feral, but I was running 1090 SP in tree form.

You're looking good as far as your gear, upgrading in the proper areas, all your stats look good. You'll really start to shoot up at you get closer to 80.

I wouldn't worry about enchants unless you want to use some on yourself to level your own enchanting skill. That's always a nice perk to taking that profession.

The main reason you were going through mana so fast was probably because your spell power is a little low. The stats you are focusing on are what you need, Int, Spirit, Spell power. As long as you keep upgrading, looking for those stats, then you should be just fine.

If you feel like spending some money, I usually take a glance at the AH every 2-3 levels, just to see if there is an upgrade on there going for cheap that I can pick up. You shouldn't worry too much about that though, like I said, as long as you are picking up the correct quest rewards and getting a few drops from instances from time to time.

Keep on keeping on.
