Tanks: How Do You Use BRunes on Bosses?Follow

So, I have been thinking about this lately, and I have come to an odd conclusion...

But, first, my logic:

If there aren't multiple targets, than Pestilence and DnD are useless. To be fair, I don't know if, in general, boss fights in Wrath are AoE based, so... this is just theory.

Other abilities that use blood runes (and aren't talents):

Blood Boil... useless in normal situations, let alone in a boss fight.

Strangulate... I don't know the resist rate on this ability, but I can see it being useful if it lands frequently.

<insert ability I possibly forgot>

Now, to get the maximum affect from Blade Barrier, I need my runes on cooldown as often as possible. So I cannot really be waiting around just for the chance to use Strangulate...

So, should I just be using Blood Strikes to convert the runes to Death Runes? Or is there something I am missing?

Now, if most bosses ARE AoE fights, than this whole thing is more or less moot...

Blood Strike is going to be the best way to put your runes on cooldown in a single boss fight scenario.

some bosses have aoe portions, but despite the fact that DnD is great aoe threat, even if there are multiple targets you still need your main target to get some burst damage on it so you will switch between doing AoE for a rotation or two then single target for a couple rotations. At least this is what I do.

anyways, yea blood boil if the boss is being kited or if getting parried is an issue, otherwise blood strike. I tend to blood boil a lot on grob cause i'm always moving him, likewise with the kiting portion of heigen.
You really need the death rune conversion as death runes going down will also restart blade barrier. DK was designed around death runes being used to optimize rotations, otherwise you are stuck with crappy blood strike and blood boil.
