Inner Fire questionFollow

When taking the talents to improve Inner Fire, does the percentage increase effect only the armor or does it also add to the spell power?

Thank you.

It increases the spellpower as well.

I wish the glyph would increase duration instead of charges.

Thank you. That is some exciting news. I'll have to relook at my talents

Dont bother with it until you get the additional spell power. This talent increases the charges and spellpower, when it finally does have it.
Had anyone tested to see the same number of points into Twin Disciplines is better?

Blizzard is going to be changing some of our spells and talents drastically, and Inner Fire will be one of them. They will extend the duration if nothing else.
I think they should just remove the duration completely, since it's constantly being burnt or refreshed.
It would also be cool if they merged the defensive and spell power mechanism with our shields.

Ooo, sounds awesome. Can you cite your source?

I usually check MMO Champion. You might be able to see the same post I mentioned down towards the bottom, or the next page (blue posts). Priests are mentioned more than once.

I'm excited about it myself.

In my opinion, Priests are under-represented. They were designed to be the best healers in the game. As it stands now, most prefer Paladins or Druids in PVP and Shamans in PVE. I read the part in that link where they would have wanted to give CoH an effect like Riptide, to where CoH heals more if Renew is on the target. We need some kind of fun mechanic like that to make healing much more exciting.

Not sure if Mattelot's link was meant to be the 'source' IDrownFish asked about, but I can't find anything on Inner Fire on that page. Might've missed it, though.

Aside from that, while I don't have a source, I do recall reading a blue post about them looking into both Meditation and Inner Fire, though.

Edit: Ah, maybe Mattelot simply used the wrong link. Page 3 holds this post: http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=34901.0

Inner Fire
Inner Fire is something we are still discussing. We would ultimately like to move buffs with charges to a longer duration but we need to work out a few other inconsistencies with the buff system before we make that call. (Source)

How does it improve spellpower?

Later ranks of the spell add a spell power bonus. Starting at level 71 Rank 8.

The Spell Power boost is substantial.

It can save an additional Smite or Holy Fire cast at the end of your rotation for "on level" MOB's.

That is time and mana.

I agree with Nobic. The spellpower boost while talented basically allows you to do heroics at 1100-1200 spellpower unbuffed (since Inner Fire will turn it into 1300-1400).
