I noticed a drop but then again I recently went to combat since I finally got two epic weapons. So I figured it was just me adjusting to easy mode again.

I will run some number tomorrow and see what the other rogue and I can put out.

1. Mutilate won't generate 2 instant poisons procs from OH.
2. Glyph of Adrenaline Rush was fixed, Killing Spree have 2 minutes cooldown and can't be used every 1 minute as it was before.
3. HaT was fixed.

Overall every rogue skill tree was fixed/weakened, so rogues do less dps now. Loosing 600 dps is really big number but... did you have same buffs in both VoA runs? Maybe in first there was shaman with windfury totem and in second there wasn't shaman in party? Or maybe in second there wasn't anyone who could apply sunder armor debuff? Or maybe... And so on.

If both run were with same players, with same specs, with same gear and so on and you would loose 600 dps in exactly same situation, then it would be something you could worry about.

Edit: typo

I've noticed a debilitating drop in dps as well, from 4200 on patchwerk to 3500ish. Pretty much the exact same raid, right to the person, since we did a monday clear then a tuesday clear after reset. I didn't forget poisons and I wasn't exactly letting my little sister play, so what gives? ._. I wish I'd saved breakdowns from both fights, as I'm pretty pissed off at this point.

I noticed I consistently do less dps on dummy now. about 100less than what my spreadsheet says I should, which is the latest, counting the fixed mut bug. This is also comparing to prepatch results, I should have lost around 10dps unbuffed on dummy if counting bug fix but in reality I am 100dps less consistently now. I am not doing anything differently in terms of rotations. Just incase you think I didn't switch poisons or something, I did.

Prepatch, I could stay 2400+-2450 on raid dummy, 6mins samples. Now I struggle at 2300ish.

Spreadsheet says, I should be at 2430 after patch.

Just to nitpick, what you said basically means your dps is anywhere between -50 and 4850. The symbol you used +- (±) means plus or minus, so basically you said 2400 plus or minus 2450.

Now what you meant was between 2400 and 2450 I know, so 2400-2450 or you could have put ~2450 which means up to or around 2450.

But yeah after the patch my rogues DPS dropped some. Although I haven't touched her in a while I still play around a bit here and there and noticed the change. I'm not all that concerned at this point since, again, I don't play her much, and I'm not even close to raiding with her. I think it's a little sad the turn rogues have taken with how the game is played out today.

I meant between.

It must just be everybody else. If anything, I'm doing *more* DPS since the patch (FoK on trash FTW).

FoK Withstanding, I was commenting Single target instances, E.g. Boss fights. Trash doesnt matter really.

Idk honestly I hope Bliz does something soon because right now, as it stands rogue is falling on the way side. I will admit I didnt get much BC content before Wrath i don't know what it was before (I hit 70 a month before Wrath) but its kinda disheartening. Before i would struggle to get into the top 3 in most Pugs, I read EJ, used spreadsheet (not that well mind you), and after a patch we drop even farther.

We have no utility (CC doesnt count anymore *imho*), and our other biggest assest, High DPS on a Single target we're being outshined by DK and other jobs that bring alot more utility (raid buffs, Plate, higher HP).

Sorry i don't mean to QQ, but it gets frustrating when you fight up an icy slope (Before patch having to impress people to get into pugs, busting my *** to do good/get good armor)then to have to slide right back down to the bottom agian after a patch .

From the front page of MMO-Champion.com (blue posts):

Hunger for Blood
We think it can be a little annoying to try to keep it up all the time. We have a plan to make it a little more usable and interesting (and buff rogues in PvE at the same time).

Do you plan to buff the Combat talent tree?
Yes.

Assassination and rogue DPS in PvE
Assassination is doing too much damage relative to other rogues. Rogues as a whole are still too low in PvE and we have plans to bring them up.

Change to Hunger for Blood to make it less irritating? Excellent. I love the ability, I hate the maintenance it requires. A good change.

Buff to the Combat tree? Rather indifferent since I haven't been Combat since lvl60.

Assassination doing "too much damage" compared to other trees? Nonsense. Utter nonsense.

Rogue getting a much needed overall PvE buff? Can't wait.

<.< To be completely honest i like HfB being a twitch mechanic, It keeps me busy. I Like having to focus on Poison stacks, Rupture, SnD, Hfb, positioning. I rarely let it drop, mainly its due to lag spikes. But that's probably just me. I really hope i dont have to switch to combat, ss,ss,ss,ss,ss,snd, ss,ss,ss,ss,ss, rup rotation sounds.... boring.

I like how mutilate is less of a rotation and more of a prioritizing of abilities. When i do get to 1-3rd Dps on charts I smile knowing it was because i was 'on the ball' not because i 'have the best rotation'. I have a starter rotation yes but passed that its all about keeping myself going.

Stealth> garrote> SnD> Trinket (If it applies)> TotT (on focus)> Mutilate Mutilate Rupture Mutilate Envenom after that Its mutilating and keeping rupture up and SnD Using TotT when its up Sometimes a kick. I have a DK (tank) and it doesn't feel nearly as 'fluid'

Just my 2 cents thou.

The funny thing about HfB, was that they implemented it around the same time that they decided that Rampage should be a passive proc, because it was annoying to keep activating it.
And when the activated proc on HfB was useful in PvP (oh so briefly in Beta) it didn't really matter, but now... /shrug

Yeah they heard some people were still playing rogues, so they decided to fix that.
