First day SV and kinda liked it..Follow

Hi guys..

Had my first day as SV yesterday, and actually found it quite fun playing.. Went a couple of raids and did ok, my DPS was almost at the same levels if not higher than pre patch. And when I learn this spec it gonna raise my DPS with a few hundred I think. I'm a DPS *****, which I think every raiding hunter should be.. "We kill stuff fast, that's our ticket to raids"

But it also raised a couple of questions to someone who has a bit exp with this playstyle

-Tried out the trapdancing thing on Malygos, I thought that if I placed a trap inside his hitbox (the red ring on the ground) the trap was gonna set of, but that didnt always happen! So question nr one: How do i know where to put it, it this something I've gotta learn from experience or is it something I can look for?

-I got 249 haste on my toon. Got AotH + glyph, ring and a trinket that all give haste procs that "mess" up my rotation. Found it quite difficult to maintain an optimal rotation all the time. (Tried to use the "cookiebutter rotation"). Any good solution to this other than watching timers all the time?

And dont do this into a grammar QQ, not my native language ;-)

Happy hunting guys..

Traps are triggered by the center of the mob, not the hitbox.
This due to melee whining at some point that traps were impossible to avoid or something like that.
Thus, trap dancing o large bosses is pretty damn impractical.

There's no good solution outside of shooting as many instants as possible.
Gemming/enchanting for haste, or dropping large amounts of other stats for haste still gives a dps loss.
