Went from being 5-10% of my healing to 15-30%.

I am specced to spam holy light (could get 3% more to crit but I have a thing for BoK). T 7.5 4 piece reduces cost of HL by 5%, Seal of the Wise Glyph reduces all mana cost by 5%. Badge libram cuts 113 mana off HL. Cuts cost to 1044 mana, from 1270. At the same time I am 36% holy crit unbuffed, about 43-45% raid buffed. So about 50% Holy Light crit chance with the extra 6% crit to HL from Holy tree.

Illumination still gives back 60% of 1270, even though it only costs me 1044. So 762 mana back on a 1044 cast, a HL costs me 282 mana on a crit, less than a FoL. And with 50% HL crit you best believe I crit like a beast. So I can spam Holy Light pretty effectively when it calls for it, better yet with my haste and judgement of the pure Holy light is down to 1.49 second cast (not counting first cast).

Now with 2100 sp (My weakest stat right now) I am critting for 16-18k, 10% hitting (not shared) 5 people is 1600-1800 healing per person. Better yet if you have beacon up then the beacon target is healed for 5 x 1600-1800.

Holy Light glyph used to amount to 10% of healing done on a good night, now its almost 30%. Pls let this not get nerfed

I saw this too, ran 3 wings of naxx heroic last night and Glyph of Holy light was my second largest heal after holy light. Accounted for around 20% of my overall healing, more on boss fights.

You know a good way to stop things from getting nerfed? STFUing about them and not making forum posts telling everyone how OP you think they are.

As if forums are the only way Blizzard learns whether something's OP or not... :\

The change in the sheer number of hits from this glyph is astounding. On an Obsidian Sanctum run with similar raid composition, I got 36 glyph hits on 94 HL casts prior to the change. After the change I got 291 glyph hits on 134 HL casts. I haven't tried it in any heroics yet, I expect it will be quite handy.

Blizzard seems quite happy to put things in the game for people to enjoy, but then when a vocal minority ***** and cry about certain things they feel are unfair or overpowered they cave.

Examples:

Paladin bubble nerf
Stopping the zombie invasion early
Adding a cast time to the broomstick mount

If you guys are looking for a laugh, check out some of the reasons behind the change:

Whether it was smart or not, the fact was that it was showing up as a gigantic component of paladin healing to the extent that it was having the impact of adding a whole additional spell to your rotation.

Anyone who wasn't using Holy Light before the 20 yrd glyph, raise your hand <_<

It's not referring to adding Holy Light as a spell that you cast, but rather that is was accounting for as much healing as an entire extra healing spell would.

Much like Judgement of Light on some fights can effectively heal for as much as a whole extra healer, Glyph of HL was effectively healing as much as another heal spell. That much of an output increase all at once from a minor balancing patch that didn't alter other classes in such ways as well certainly qualifies as OP.

Too bad, was nice seeing Paladins as massive AoE healers :D

Ah, you're right.

Guess the moral of the story is that verbose sentences are bad lol

Personally, (having been a Holy paladin most of my WoW career), I still love GoHL. Even with the small amount that it heals, it can be enough to save them until you drop a FoL on 'em or another HL. It's certainly helped me save groups from wiping before, especially pre-WoTLK in Karazhan.
