After respec, dps too low?Follow

I've done a few raids, and gotten a few 80 epics, but i recently respecced to SV, and after playing around on the training dummies for a bit, ive been peaking, without trinks or buffs outside of self ones, at around 1.7k dps. Is this a bit too low for getting into raiding? Most of the raids ive done were the "Let's just mess around" kind, or some OS/VoA. I know my hit rating is way too low, and im working on that, but i just wanna know if the dps i can put out now is acceptable for raids minus my hit rating problem.
