Survival shot rotation?Follow

Oh my freaking lord. I am trying out survival, which is the first time I've done a major respec since ~level 15. No more simply spam steady shot until serpent string wears off. So now I have all of these cool shots, Explosive, Aimed, arcane??. I feel like a virgin on prom night......AGAIN.

First of all, I had no idea Explosive and arcane share a cooldown, so does that mean I will NEVER use an arcane shot?

What type of shot rotation should I be looking at? Just spam steady and fire off an ES whenever it is up (with serpent sting on of course). Can you weave in an Aimed shot and should you? I only got to play around for 15 minutes with my new spec before I had to run so any help from the resident survival folk would be greatly appreciated.

oh ya, I'm only level 77 right now but wanted a change hence the respec so I'm mostly just looking for grinding/reg instances but I like to keep an eye out for raiding info as well.

Explosive > Steady > Explosive on LnL proc gives better dps than Explosive spam.
Other than that, I'd suggest trying it out without using Aimed for a first bit because jumping in fresh makes it complicated.

And when you leave out Aimed for a while you get a much more simple ES > SS > SS > SS > ES etc. and refreshing Serpent sting when necessary.

many many thanks all. I didn't get to witness the great LnL proc yet as I only had a few minutes to play yesterday and the mob I happened to grind on was immune to steady shot.
