Newly added quasi-PvP gear rewarded from trading in wintergrasp marks of honor: Linky

There are two nice pieces for rogues in the helm and boot department but what really caught my eye was the new trinket.

Anvil of Titans
Resil +84
chance on REGULAR hit to increase AP by 1000 for 10 secs

Similar to Mirror of truth, of course no static +Crit chance. However the proc is on any hit instead of critical strike. I am wondering where this trinket may fall in terms of top three in game. It has some promise if the proc isn't capped at once per minute or something.

I would be willing to bet that it will only proc once per minute or have some hidden limiting factor. Still, seems like it might be a worthwhile piece of gear to pick up. I am still sad my handwraps of preserved history are getting nerfed, for blue gloves they were pretty decent in terms of overall stats.

Yah you are right, probably has the same 45 second CD as the mirror.

However if you have both equipped you could potentially have +2k AP which is bonkers in PvP and PvE right now.

I doubt that both will be able to proc at once.

Nevermind that you would never want both equipped at once in PvP unless you're human.

Go human!

Here's hoping they overlooked the possibility and they can dual-proc.

The leather helm looks like something out of an S&M club.

There's a comprehensive discussion about doubling up these trinkets on WoWhead and Theo's right, they do not double up. It usually procs about once a minute. I picked up the anvil yesterday and ran to a combat dummy in ironforge and ya, close to once a minute it would proc. Usually would proc right away when you first start fighting. I'll be keeping this trink for awhile!

I love the fact that it procs on regular hits, which is great for guaranteeing a powerful rupture off the pop. However you do lose a lot of static crit rating for resilience (useless in PvE).

I am still undecided if I want to drop the cash on it. And by cash I mean marks of honor.

I thought rupture was increased by base AP.

Considering the amount that rogues (should be) critting, it doesn't seem like a huge difference if the procs are on a hidden cooldown anyways.

True dat.

Especially on nice fights like Loatheb, he makes you crit a bunch!

To confirm, the mirror and the anvil do not stack.
they are nice to have together though, as if they proc one after the other its a nice long buff you get.
