Hiya, I've picked up some gear from 10 man Naxx,as a resto healer and read a million forums.
Still new at Feral Tanking soo I'm wondering since we don't really need defense, how much dodge do we need to be ready for heroics and raids?

I speak by personal experience only - I started tanking with a bit more than 25k hp, 30% dodge, 20k armor. I was doing ok for easier heroics such as Nexus but my healer is my wife, and although she wasn't overgeared, I definitely trust her more than PuG healers :)
Nuit Midril - White Mage/Scholar on Ultros
Nuit the Insane! - Retired Druid on Sentinels.
Ombre - Retired Dragoon/bard on Phoenix.

What is this 'too much' thing you speak of?
I guess I've got at least decent gear as I'm currently running at 42k health raid buffed, 35-38% dodge and around 22K armor.
I'm more then happy with my health as the best plate tank in the guild is still 10k behind me so I've been working really hard on that dodge and armor - definately the harder stats to raise in my XP.

little low on the armor side there seeing plate tanks have the same amount if not more amor and they have block and probaly more total avoidance comeing from miss(since higher defence rateing) dodge parry. then again i dont know your guilds progression i'm just going off mine wich most tanks have some 10 man gear and a couple 25 man pieces i think.
but to answer the op. never too much unless it starts cutting into your hp/armor too much have to balance it all out.

punk raises a good point. My bear stats: 31k HP 32.5k armor 36% dodge 32.5% crit 126 hit 33 expertise 4442 AP. No buffs, not even MotW. Emblem T7 chest and T7.5 gloves other wise all heroic/emblem/crafted gear.
Armory please rusttle. I fear you are a stam ****.
