Weapon QuestionFollow

Real quick question. I'm seeing alot well mostly all ret paladins using 2h axe. Is axe better for a ret then swords or maces. I'm just wondering. I mean human pallies have +skill in swords and maces. Wouldn't you want to use the weapons that would apply to that racial. I don't know. Also should I be using a slow weapon. What speed should it be to be effective. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the +skill racial --- That should make it easier to Hit Cap. Right?

Borsuk - Melee weapon related racials give Expertise, not Hit :) And any ranged related racials give crit chance, but that doesn't apply to Paladins >.>

Tsuvati - When you are at any weapon master they will tell you where to go for other weapon training should they not be able to train you in what you want to know.

Ideally you want something that swings for 3.6 or slower if you are using SoC. If your trying to decide between two weapons with the same dps go for the one that has the higher damage range/lower speed:

Searing Blade
Binds when equipped Two-Hand Sword
39 - 59 Damage Speed 2.50
(19.6 damage per second)
Durability 80 / 80
Requires Level 18

I don't think you can get SoC until 21 so if I was you I would find a friend to help you get the level 22 Paladin Quest reward:
Verigan's Fist
Binds when picked up Two-Hand Mace
65 - 99 Damage Speed 3.20
(25.6 damage per second)
+7 Stamina
+6 Intellect
+12 Spirit
Durability 100 / 100
Classes: Paladin

Probably your best bet till corpsemaker from RFK at level 28-29.
