Mage Tailoring QuestionFollow

Hi all. Quick tailoring question. I'm almost to 80 and will plan on joining in on my guild's raids after getting some gear through heroics and badges. Is there an advantage in choosing Ebonweave specialization vs. Spellweave? I was spellfire spec in BC but if ebonweave is preferred (for the spell hit) then I can respec into Shadoweave to get the ebonweave specialization.

My armory is here: Adoctora

Thanks for your help!!

If your going to keep tailoring ebonweave seems to be the most popular/highest priced cloth. It is all boe now though so you dont need a specialization to use one kind of gear over another. In my opinion tailoring got the short end of the stick in wrath though, and as such i dropped it last night and leveled to 406jc today for the 3 jc only gems and not needing to use a spdmg/stam to meet meta requirements.

TBH, I wouldn't waste the money leveling it when all the patterns are BoE. Gather the materials and have someone (a guildy or whatever) make it for you that wasted their money leveling the profession. I would wait and see if there is a good pattern in T8 content before jumping ahead and leveling it.

Agreed, tailoring got boned in Wrath and there isn't much of a reason to level it anymore. Even the carpets suck because of the different dismount mechanics.

They had it in BC, so I think it's fair to say that for a price, you can.
