Tanking as a WarlockFollow

Looking to respec my lvl 70 Demo lock to affliction and using my imp. Do I need to learn to use a one hand weapon to tank or do keep fighting the mob with my staff?

I mistook the term tanking in a literal term, I've always sent my VW in and DOT the mobs, so when people kept saying "tank the mob" I wasnt sure they were talking about casting spells and trying to meele like a Paladin. My Bad.

Actually you can't tank that efficiently because you can only wear cloth, but in extreme cases, when you agrroed mobs you can try to draintank until your party/raid tank will start doing his job.

i mean no offense to any members of the board. but if they hold a high standard why would you tell some one that they can do something they obviously cannot? maybe i read it wrong. maybe i didnt. but from the looks of it he stated a warlock can pet tank heroic burning crusade instances at 70 with thier respective pets. which by all means is false. i have a hard time doing it on my 80 lock whom is 0/41/30 which is a pet enhance raid spec. and to clarify any misunderstandings my lock is decently gear with over 2k SP, 26% crit, and 19.6K life. i will average around 4K dps in 25 mans and just over 3K 10 mans.
