I was wondering what u find as necessary while healing as a resto shaman.

I wanted to use x-perl+clique+totemtimers.
havent tested x-perls healer mode, its range checker, and its cureable buff option. (so if anyone could comment on it it would be nice)

I will be raiding 10 man mostly of not only so i see little use in something like grid.

I also have my doubts if clique is necessary for a resto shaman. (might be nice for fast riptides or better chain heals. (targetting the one with lowest health for the strongest chain heal effect while raid healing)

Im also looking for something that shows what other healers are healing. (hopefully working without them having the addon if that exists)

Macros (havent tested these yet so not sure they work and im not much of a macro specialist :S):

/cast Nature's Swiftness
/stopcasting
/cast [nomodifier] Healing Wave; Hex

effect: i believe this will activate NS and cast Healing wave unless u have added shift, control or alt while pressing it and will cast hex

/focus [target=focus, noexists]; [target=focus, dead]; [target=focus, help]
/cast [target=focus] Earth Shield

effect: i believe this will focus the target u selected at 1st then put ES on him regardless of what you are currently targeting

If i made any mistakes here plz notify me or even better post the macro im looking for.

If i miss something else that u feel is vital or very useable while healing please notify me.

Unlike a lot of those that are really good at adjusting their UI to their personal preferance, I'm still using the dafult one, and the only actual "raid healing" addon I use is HealBot.

A good bar mod, I like Bartender personally but Bongo is also good and there are a few others, find one you like. I find a bar mod particularly useful for the shaman because totems mean we just have so many abilities that are nice to have out.

Even with the extra bars from a mod like this I tend to have several totems that are hidden away and only come out at certain times.

Dual specs may change this as they are apparently going to change our bars as well as our talents and glyphs.

I personally use Bartender, Grid, FloTotemBars, BigWigs, oRA2, Eavesdrop, and Omen for raiding, as well as other random UI mods.

I have used healbot in the past and even used it when I first started raiding naxx. I was just too cluttery and buggy for me. As resto the only spells you need is CH, HW, LHW, ES, WS, NS macro, Riptide, and purify. I PvP as a frost mage so 8 key bindings for my sham is ridiculously easy. I use F, G, T, V, and all those with shift. Clique is pretty cool but not needed. I just click the box of who I want to heal and hit my hot key.
